I love old favourites but it's kinda sad if they're discontinued. One of my favourite blushes is MAC Breezy that has been discontinued for a few years now, but I bought a couple back-ups when I heard that it's leaving the line. I still love it but using it is bittersweet because I know at some point I will run out of it. This was my first high-end purchase and my first blush. Literally - the first product that comes to mind when I think of you are the Lancome Juicy Shakers - and then the matte version! Literally influenced to purchase them, and still have them somewhere in my stash. Definitely expired, but those were so iconic!!!! My own oldest fav is the Chanel lipstick in La Raffinée.

I went out and bought Dior meteor the second I saw you use it and bought a backup once you said it was discontinued, got the last one at my Sephora. I’ve also bought CT film star bronze and glow, Lancôme juicy and matte shakers, LM Fresco blush, and so much more.
Allana the shade and illuminate is the most beautiful contour shade I have ever seen on you, I think it is a bit warmer and truly is stunning on you. I would use that shade all the time.

I'm still not sure how I feel about this event in my life. But when I couldn't afford the Lancome Monsieur Big waterproof mascara (it then went compeltely missing in Australia for about 12 months, it was impossible to get) so I started using the economical choice for best waterproof mascara (Loreal Paradise lash or whatever it's strange Australian name is) which is EXCELLENT. But I always remembered the Lancome so fondly as the OG. At the start of our lockdown in Sydney I went slightly crazy and bought the Lancome again because if I was going to have no life for four months at least I'd have good lashes. At home. By myself. (go figure) ANYWAY, all this to say the Lancome is ... not as good as I remembered??? Or the Loreal is better??? I don't know, I'm in a state of confusion and out of loyalty (and dollars) I'm continuing using the Lancome despite the fact it smudges like a MOFO and doesn't look as good as the Loreal. My lesson to everyone is ... don't go back to your ex. New bae is a dream.

Tarte CC under eye corrector, I saw you use it so so much I actually bought it for days when my eyes are just sooo dead underneath. I do have issues opening it, the amount of times I’ve dug my nail in it is ridiculous. I actually rarely use any of my old favourites, that Clinique foundation was, but it suddenly started to break me out really badly when I hit an early menopause. I can’t seem to use any Clinique face products or skin care any more. I do still have 2 of the Clinique pop Nude lipsticks though.
I really prefer these videos. I know that presenting new to the market products is the norm but I love a good ol shop my stash. Btw I still have two Dior monos. One in Meteorite and one in Infinity ( v.similar but a little less gold and more of a true taupe) I will most likely have them forever. The pod is so weighty and lovely I couldn’t part with them. I remember when you used to use the Vichy 89 regularly. I still pull mine out in the winter, too!
Totally agree, cheek palettes are not so exciting. I’m too picky but that brown rose shade in that palette is 💕. Hopefully Patrick Ta makes that color on it’s own.

My oldest and most coveted product is this lipstick by Makeup Forever in the shade Moulin Rouge (discontinued). I cannot bear to part with it. It’s my #1 favorite red of all time. For my skin tone and vibe it is perfect. I just can’t do it. It miraculously doesn’t smell awful, but I’m pretty sure that even if it smells like a crayon I’ll occasionally use it-just being honest 🤷🏼♀️

I agree, there is nothing like Meteore. I bought one a few years ago, it was already dried out when I bought it, but it still works so beautifully. And imo the Shiseido Aura Dew in Solar 02 doesn't even come close to the sophisticated beauty that Dior Meteore is.

Oldest product recommendation is Monsieur Le Big waterproof. Legit just went through all the duty frees and Sephoras in Spain and I found one, finally. It felt like I’d won the lottery 😂

On the topic of cheek palettes, I just always feel it’s not worth the money, because there will always be at least 1 shade I never use, so I prefer to buy single cheek products! Kind of like you were saying about the Tom Ford contour! Also loling at the dior meteor!!! I need it :(
