I think Rajkumar was offered the role of father of Amitabh but as he demanded Rs 1 more than Amitabh,he was not considered.Later Amitabh himself played this role.Vinod khanna was to play naveen nishal,s role but he went to osho,s ashram,then Shatrughan was considered.Then he was considered for the role later played by Parikishat sahni but as he made himself unavailable due to his friction with Amitabh Naveen nishal came.Shivajiganeshan was for south indian character but due to continuous change of dates he left the film. Rajnikant refused for the same role due to smaller role.Premnath did this role.
