Twin Elements presents the official film release of “Mountain Monarch” Part 2.
A bowhunting adventure featuring friend and owner of Bowhunting Only, Nick Morton.
This hunt takes place in the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales, Australia.
Spanning over two weeks during the month of April which is the nations peak fallow deer rut.
As the name suggests “Mountain Monarch” focuses on the pursuit of a giant fallow buck that we deem as the king of the hill. Coming across multiple younger bucks across the journey our patience is finally rewarded with an encounter on the most mature buck on the mountain.
We bring you croaking bucks, close encounters and one hell of a hunting recap from what is arguably the best time of year to be a bowhunter in the Australian bush.

What an awesome finish. The palmation is crazy. I’m always fascinated by how these deer act in the rut. Like the American bull elk in rut responding to cow elk calls and giving an archer a shot opportunity. Whitetail don’t do that but will check out antler rattling. 👍👍🔥

Having hunted in the USA a few times now and actively calling in many bulls there’s a similarity for sure. Whether it’s the elk bugle, fallow rut or red deer roar there’s always adrenaline calling in a mature animal.
