Please what about the contacts on the e-sim. If the phone gets stolen and I report to the network provider. Can I still retrieve my contacts back on my new phone with my new e-sim?

It will take years for physical sim to be obsolete, there are still lot of mid range devices that don't have e SIM so for now and many years to come physical sim will still be a thing.

For the iPhone you can scan and store more than two esims but you can only activate 2 at a time. For Samsung, you can scan and store more than two but you can only use 1 eSIM

Nice vid question though, what if your iPhone stops working because of damage with an e Sims? How can you transfer your number to a new phone without a physical Sims to put it in another phone using AT&T?
@@valorreviews Thanks for the reply, I would’ve thought it would’ve been a little easier than that like maybe put in your number in your new iPhone 14 and your provider then it automatically direct you to their website when you can login and maybe download the eSims from there.
You can get the Canadian version with the physical sim tray. I bought from Canada but it hasn't been shipped by Apple probably because of high demand. I had to buy from the USA and that one is already on its way to Lagos. Thank God MTN has esim so its not a problem for me.

When using two different networks, you can switch between them. You can pick which SIM you want to use to text or make calls with. For the QR code, you only need one. When you want to switch to another phone, you'll need to delete the esim on the old phone, scan the QR code on the new phone and that's it . Getting an esim on the iphone is a must. It would help track down your phone if it gets stolen. You can remove an esim and also even when the iphone is off, you can still track it.
@@valorreviews one more question, does that mean i can have 2 esim signed in together on the same phone? Eg like the regular dual sims phone can i sign in both mtn and 9mobile on the same phone and use it together without having to delete one for the other

I got a US IPhone 14 from the US and it comes without the sim tray. MTN tells me that I still need the SIM card before they can issue the QR code. Has anyone been able to activate Esim with MTN on a phone that does not have a sim tray and a physical sim?
@@valorreviews You said you called the provider to verify some details. Isn't that how hackers steal identities? Physical SIM has a pin and you need that PIN and your ID in person to replace it
I didn't say I called. You'll need to go to their office and answer questions to prove you are the owner of the line. Have you forgotten that you had to provide an ID card for your sim to be registered? They have that on their database. They have your picture as well.

You won't be able to do that anymore. I can't remember doing that in my case. But of that's what you are going to be doing, esim isn't for you.

Make sure both smartphones have access to he internet, scan the QR code on the 12. It should work now.

If the smartphone is damaged and can't be operated, you'll need to go to their office to have it barred and you will be given another QR code.
