Funny how the fatherlessness can affect us in a 2 parent household as well. I actually realized as you guys were talking about things you missed because of growing up without your dads, that some of us relate fully despite having an ever physical father, just absent in all the ways from emotionally not feeling safe with them or them not being engaged, financially them refusing to contribute, spiritually not leading the fam, and physically them not showing up for you be it school visiting, parents day by choice, basically functioning as a 1 parent household with a man who clocked out.
I'm glad we are choosing to do better and change the narrative.
Enjoyed the 2 episodes. Good job 👏

    Dear Xola,
You will slowly but SURELY heal. Thank you for sharing your vulnerability with us!
Seeing men owning their narrative and being vulnerable while at it is such a GREEN flag! This is good!

I just realized the privilege I had to have a strong African father who later became my only true best friend. Let’s go the crib sheet!

The vulnerability here is so refreshing. We can all learn so much from each other once we put aside our egos - both men and women. Thanks for this 🙏🏼
That second wife comment..... How about you bring guests who grew up in such a dynamic so we can hear about their experiences.

I'm responsible for what I say, not your comprehension level.
