@@WhiteDwarfVR4 Absolutely. I had ordered the Mec-Gar Plus 2 baseplate kit, for a Beretta 92 magazine, and was trying to fit it to a 15 round mag. Word of caution: I stumbled on many reviews where people said these add only +1 round to their magazine. After carefully checking my 17 rounds magazines of 9 mm, I noticed the problem came from the torx screw. I purchased 2 of these, and one of them had a much longer screw than the other one. The one with the longer screw could only fit 18 rounds instead of 19 rounds, whilst the one with the shorter screw could fit 19 (although I suggest using the MagPul mag loader). Edit: Both screws have the same size, but one mag extension is thicker, meaning the screw doesn't stick out farther. The only way to fit 19 rounds into the thinner pad is by unscrewing the torx screw. This is most likely because the screw is interfering with the spring, preventing it to compress entirely to the bottom of the mag extension. If someone has an issue with it giving only +1, even though you removed the spring metallic base plate, try unscrewing the torx screw entirely and try again. If it works properly, there's the problem. All you have to do now is filing down the screw a bit (not too much, otherwise it won't prevent the base plate from sliding off).
With that being said, thanks for the video. It helped me in deciding whether or not I wanted to purchase these for my stock magazines. They do look neat with it.

Just installed this on a PX4 mag, spring tension seems pretty weak now. Does it feed correctly with the reduced tension? Hopefully because I stripped the set screw while tightening...
The "weaker tension" is most likely because the magazine has more space for it to stretch out. The plus side is: if you don't intend to load the magazine at full capacity, the first rounds are easier to put.

I didn't try assembling without the follower and spring so I didn't get a chance to look inside to see how it's held together, but it seems to me that the set screw protrudes into the inside of the magazine body along the front edge/ corner. Preventing the base plate from sliding forward once the screw is seated. Hope this helps, thanks for watching!
www.beretta.com/en-us/beretta-92-series-plus2-magazine-extension/ These work for both 92 and 96 series Berettas, however in 40 caliber they only add one round.
I'd make sure your magazine doesn't have intentions on the side. Also make sure you take that inner plate that is connected to the bottom of the spring off. And finally, your Magazine spring might just be a little stiff. On my brand new M9 A3 magazines, I couldn't get the last round in without my maglula. They should get easier once you cycle a few loads through the mag.
Man that sucks, all I could suggest is moving the floor plate forward as far as you can and devise some means of pushing down on the Magazine spring. I used a paper clip, but you might have to come up with something thinner being as I don't imagine that plate is going to give you any extra room to slip the floor plate forward. If that fails you could go through the witness holes in the back, but I think that would be slower going than going through the bottom. Maybe a combination of those two points of access?
I found a possible way to remove my magazine extension. If you don't have a paper clip at your disposal (or you cannot fashion one as fancy as the one in the video), you could use tension wrenches from a lockpicking kit (I purchased one from Sparrows Lock Picks). I took two Z-shaped tension wrenches (one would work too) which I introduced into the magazine after sliding the extension forward, the long part in (and the short one out). Once they were inside, I "closed" back the extension, then started pushing down on the wrenches to force the spring down, using my thumb to press down on the other side of the tension wrench. Once the spring was entirely out of the magazine extension, I removed it, and slowly released the spring.
If you don't know what you're doing, this can be dangerous though. The idea is to use any tool that you could slide in with a big enough surface that you could start pushing down, with a handle thin enough that you can keep the extension in the closed position.

I noticed It happens with 17 rounds magazines and not with 15 rounds ones. Most likely because the magazine is longer, and they made the plastic tip longer to compensate for that
I have some 15-rounders MecGar (probably hammered 18-rounders to limit the capacity) and last time I tried, they fit more tightly. That being said, you might as well purchase 20-rounders from MecGar, which also have +2 mag extension (albeit not with the Beretta logo)
Left a gap on my 17rd mags for my 92fs also. Does anyone know if the 15 rd mags will have the gap also? 1 reviewer on Beretta website says no gap on 15rd mags. For the price that gap really ticks me off.
Same here. I didn't try it on the 15 Rounders, but I believe there's a little bit more material above the groove that the tabs on the magazine body slides into on the standard floor plates. On the extended floor plates there just isn't as much meat above that Groove so I believe it would end up the same either way. I whipped up a few spacers and it looks much better, but it's something they really should have taken into account. Thanks for watching!
I just purchased and installed it onto my px4 storm compact 15 round mag and so far so good. The one mag wouldn’t rack smooth, so I took her apart and reinstalled and after racking her a bit, she was racking smooth. Plan to take her shooting soon I’ll let you know how she does.
@@ajinnis Awesome! Good to hear that you're happy with them, but it's kind of strange that it wasn't racking smooth at first. The PX4 is a damn fine machine and I believe it is a worthy successor to the classic 92. I can't believe they aren't more popular.
I have a full size M9A1 & a Wilson Combat 92G Brigadier Tactical, both have the 15 round PVD coated mags. Neither of these guns will engage a magazine with +2 base installed ( no matter how hard i smack it in ). There is no gap like the 17 round mags. Does anyone know what is the cause & how to get around it?
That's kind of crazy. I can't recall if the 15 rounders have the intentions at the bottom. I believe they do, if that's the case and you have 17 rounds total with the extension, there might be entirely too much spring pressure against the bottom of the slide. I would try unloading them and seating them in the gun without ammo, if they still don't see I don't even know man. I can try my extensions on a 15 rounder when I get home.

If I buy the mec-gar 20rd mag with the +2, can I replace the plus 2 extension with this?? I like how it says beretta.
Good question, but I honestly couldn't tell you. I try to to stick with Factory mags, though I can't imagine their Dimensions being any different. I know these Will Go On 15, 17, 20 round, and 30 round Beretta mags.
WhiteDwarfVR4 thanks for the reply! Ill try an experiment with the mec-gar mags I guess 😅
A Pioneer! Got to respect that! haha 😄
Come to think of it, I have a couple Checkmate (MIL contract) mags I could try it on, but that still doesn't answer your question.
Best of luck to you, let me know how it works out.
WhiteDwarfVR4 carving my own path 😆 I’ll for sure let you know what becomes of my experiment 👍🏽
WhiteDwarfVR4 I’m going to try them on my factory mags as well. I have a 92fs compact so hopefully instead of the curved pinky extensions, I’ll have these badass ones... plus 1-2 extra rounds 🙀
Can you over insert those magazines???
Any properly made magazine should be stopped by the ejector, regardless of what type of floor plate.
We're did u get those from
I got them from the Beretta website. Beretta usa.com for me. There are a couple versions so make sure to choose carefully.
@@WhiteDwarfVR4 ok I have a beretta apxa1 u thank they fit
@@jimmyavery867 this version will not fit, as these are made for the 92 series. But they may make a version for the apx. I'm not terribly familiar with the apxa1, all I have is the original full size. But the A1 and sure is a looker! Cheers!
@@WhiteDwarfVR4 thx u
@@jimmyavery867 you got it bro
The nails. Lol thanks for the video. I’ve tried to find these but being Illinois I’m block from purchasing them on Berettas website when I enter my address.
You're quite welcome
Damn, sorry to hear that. In the past I might say, you need to move to a free state but I've come to realize that is like running away from a battle that needs to be fought. Oppressive gun laws will only spread if people don't stay behind and vote out those who want to control us. Hope you're staying safe out there, trying times. Thanks for watching.

@@WhiteDwarfVR4 voting don't matter. I'd say the last election proved that. 80 million "votes" for that clown in office, no way.
@@Boobtube. I want to disagree, but I can't argue with that. All I can say is stick to your guns. 😉
I wonder of anyone tried this on the new 92xi, site says it doesnt work on the 92X which is an entire different model.
There's a thing they invented a long time ago you should probably try it out it's called nail clippers
Rest assured they have been trimmed multiple times since this video was uploaded. I could post a video entitled "Current state of my fingernails third quarter of 2021" and I'd still get comments on old videos about my nails, but I'm not going to redo the video because a handful of people can't look past that. Thanks for watching and commenting, hope you learned something. Cheers!
Is that black middle gun a .40? because i have that
@@kclip2692 this particular one is in 9mm.
They were offered in .40 and 9
Buy a Beretta nail clipper
I'd love to! Please provide a link to where I can buy one!
Anyone out there try on 92x? I did and there is a unsightly gap at the bottom of the well. Not nice
Apologies for the late response. I have the same Gap issue on my 92s. Ended up making some thick leather spacers for them.
I just ordered them for 2 of my 15rd mags and 1 for the 17rd. Gonna see if I can update y'all on here sooner than later.
Sweet! Yeah, keep us posted.

I don't do any speaking until I get towards the end. Didn't think it was necessary. I've liked videos in the past done in that style, so..
Dude nail clippers
Excuse me but I identify as a Utahraptor..
Or they have been trimmed in the time following this upload..

Everyone has them, this was 5 years ago, a peek into the past.
Jesus, cut your nails
Let me use your time machine and I'll go back 5 years and trim them. Rest assured they have been trimmed since then.
