Hi John, Les here G4XMX, good stuff, more please.
John, thanks for making this video and keeping it online so many years. I recently bought this kit and I am certain it would have been much more difficult if I had not followed along building with your videos. It is a great little tuner for portable use and your videos made building it a pleasant experience.
Best Regards,
Don

Steve, thanks for watching. I got my tuner from eBay, however i "think" Banggood may sell them also. ~John
They come straight from Emtech, too. steadynet.com/emtech/
Those antenna connections as original are HF SO-239, but anything over 10 meters, to reduce losses, on VHF & UHF really need to be pukka BNC, to minimize losses with QRP Tx. and to be more an accurate 50 ohms, Z because SO239 & PL259's are anything but 50 ohms, and even as you have done using BNC adapters, my thinking would be to use BNC's to start with, to be squeaky clean with minimum losses, regards John ...Les.

Les, Thanks for watching and for your comment. You are correct, I would have been better off with BNC. Unit works great but cumbersome using the adapters. ~John
Great set of videos. I am thinking of homebrewing a tuner like this. Is there any way possible to get a copy of the label for the face of the tuner.
Thanks for watching and for your comment. I don't have a copy of the label, however I don't think it would be very difficult to make a satisfactory one using either Word or PowerPoint. Hope this helps. ~John
