Some notes worth mention. ALWAYS clean the matting surfaces of the wheel and respective hub prior to assemble. The sheer amount of corrosion, debris, etc. will ALWAYS produce unnecessary vibrations. Introducing wobble precisely where you don't want it! Observe, on this same video (3:05), the condition of both surfaces and it will be crystal clear what I just mentioned. Wire brush and some elbow grease will set you back on track right away. Since I prefer to spare my sweat. The use of a cheap "mouse sander" turn it into an easy 30 second job! ;-) Wheels and tires As usual choice is based on how it "looks". While on the looks department there's not much to say... On EVERYTHING else, it's simply a ridiculous choice! You end up loosing on weight, drivability, performance, consumption, emissions... AND on top you have to pay for it! Let's face it, it's a laughable case! LOL 😂 Something to think about. Cheers
Hi, your gearbox and clutch replacement videos helped me immensely (understatement) with the clutch replacement on my Wife's Aygo. Thank you for this. I was hoping you could direct me to a resource for timing belt/chain replacement?
An old video I know, but. I was going to remove the rear seat on my C1 and was told it would make my insurance void as it was classed as a "modification". Rang my insurance and after a 30 minute wait while it was looked into, the answer came back, removing the seat backs or the full seat was a modification and would make my insurance null and void, a bit of a surprise to say the least. So my question would be, what would lowering the suspension and fitting oversize wheels do to the insurance, I could only guess.
In my experience most insurance assessors I’ve dealt with don’t even look for modifications, they just look at the damage or the issue the insurance claim is about, so it’s up to you, if you want to take the chance not declaring any modifications you make. if you don’t declare you are always running the risk of a claim being made in valid, but like I say it is very rare for any modifications to be investigated following an accident unless its fatal. Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠

They replied that they never made the Cup in 6J 15", the 6J is only on a 14" wheel with an ET33 offset and 57.1 mm bore. The 15" is a 7J with an ET28 offset and 57.1 mm bore. Upon further investigation they did indeed make a Cup in 6x15 ET35 but "it's been out of production for decades, but we never sold it as a Cup "Junior", it has always been just "ATS Cup"" . So the wheel does exist (apologies for earlier comment, although in my defence it was based on their initial reply from a different staff member), however it still remains that there is no such thing as an ATS Cup Junior, so that may have just been something that some random guy made up years ago and it's been reposted as fact ever since. Just thought I'd clarify for the benefit of anyone reading who may be looking for these ficticious Cup Juniors.

Hi Anton, interesting video. Are you on c1oc forum? I wanted to ask you for your thoughts on these gold alloys apparently from a Mini One/Cooper R56 : it's this thread - forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=12305 (add it to the end of c1oc.co.uk). If you can't find it search for posts by member AygoRacing dated 12 Dec 2018. He mentions that they need 3 mm spacers but I really like the look of them. Would they affect the handling? I don't know what width they are but he says the tyres are 175/50/15s so should be the same as yours. I have a 2010 C1 Splash in that nice metallic blue and I think those wheels would be sweet on it. A couple of Ebay ads for the wheel I've found says they are 4.09mm 5.5J ET45 if that helps you figure it out. Thanks.:)

Hi thanks for your vids majic could you help just seen a set of alloys 15" 4x100 4 stud come of a vauxhall corsa would they fit the 107 ??if they do i wil jump at them £150 thanks Pete He just came back to me with there 6,5JX15H2 ? now realy lost :(
it all depends on the offset, the et, and the centre bore diameter, from what I can see the corsa runs wheels which are et39-40 and centre bore is 65.2mm so I think wheel spacers and extended nuts would also be needed, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
hello, nice video , still confusing :-D, want to change my wheels , in your opinion currently i have ET38 41/2Jx14H2 with tyres 155/65/14 and found nice wheels but they are ET38, 6Jx14h2 with tyres 185/60/14 ? Thanks.
I don’t see why they won’t fit as long as the pcd is correct, ie the bolt spacing, thanks for the great comments 👍🏻👍🏻🛠
Can you do a video showing how you fit the apex lowering springs plz 😁
I will do, next time I fit some 👍🏻 thanks for the great comments 👍🏻🚘
Hi I’ve always watched your videos iim going to change my standard wheels on my citroen c1, I got the 16” 7J 40 offset do you think they’ll be alright?
Wow🧐 That will be close to the strut, I would love to know how you get on, worst scenario would be to use some wheel spacers, I think you might just get away with it, really hope they look the business thanks for your great comments👍🏻👍🏻
Did it fit?
I've ordered 16" 6.5J ET 40 with tyre 195/45 R16
And planning to lower the car with coillovers it's a 108
But so now and then I'm not sure it will all fit?
Ordered everything already.
@@Lonewolf_rider did it fit?
@@mcbueni9444 yes it did.
Lowered the car with ST coillovers all works perfectly well!
@@Lonewolf_rider will a rim with an et20 fit ?
could u do a video on how to change the bushings in the gear shifter, mine wobbles about like fuck
Ok will do when one arises 👍🏻👍🏻🚘
Brilliant
Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
Hello mate, probably you the only experience person that can help me right now. I’m buying an aftermarket alloy wheels that has fitment as follow:
Wheel Size: 15x7
Color: Flat Black
Bolt Pattern: 4x100
Offset: +35mm
Centerbore: 73.1mm
Would that fit my Aygo 2006!?🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
It will be close to the suspension leg, if too close a small spacer could be used so no big issues Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
@@aaanton11 thanks
I would like to know what’s the biggest alloys I can get without it rubbing on the wheel arches?
What actually size alloys do you recommend?
Apart from the standard places like eBay do you recommend another place I can get some second hand alloys from?
Thanks.
Personally I think the size I have fitted is the perfect combination of looks vs performance, but it is all about what you like. Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
Can you give me the information on the wheels you fitted? Is the width of the new ones wider than the factory ones?
That is cheap for those bolts.I'd go with the 25mm lowering springs, just for the hassle of speed bumps out there.
They were a great buy, and fantastic quality, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
How cheap is the cost of running and reliability?
I think for money, the AYGO/c1/107 are the cheapest most reliable car on the road. Thanks for the great comments 👍🏻👍🏻
Do you still have these alloys on your car ? If ya dont mind me asking how much did you pay for them ?
As i am wanting smaller alloys on mine as i have lowerd it and its rubbin on arch
Currently running 195/45/15
But wanting 14” inch alloys
Thanks for the comments, cost of wheels £230 tyres £208, you should only need to change your tyres to a 175 50 15 👍🏻👍🏻
Would you be interested in selling? I know it’s not best place to ask and btw loved the jacket wawaw
Sorry only just bought them, but thanks for asking 👍🏻👍🏻
would 175 55 15 on
5.50 Jx 15
4x100
ET 45
fit the 107 ??
I think it might be close, nothing that a small spacer would sort out, it’s the et 45 might be close to the front strut, 👍🏻👍🏻let me know if you get them and they fit👍🏻👍🏻
R15-50-175
Thanks.:)
I will have a look and get back to you 👍🏻👍🏻🛠
Should my Clio 15 alloys fit my c1
They might, you need to check the numbers on the wheels, like in the video and the information comments, thanks for watching 👍🏻👍🏻
did you mention this on your insurance?
Its up to you, most don't in my experience, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
do you do work for people, think i need a clutch :)
Thanks for your comments, I am sorry I am too busy to take on any more work 👍🏻👍🏻
So you actually fitted the eibach and the apex springs?
Thanks for the comments, no I did not fit the springs, just compressed the car down to the stated ride heights, to allow you to see what you prefer. 👍🏻👍🏻
aaanton11 how?
350kg of weights 😂
Did you have to buy tyre pressure monitor sensors for the new alloys or do C1’s work off of the ABS indirectly instead?
They don’t have tyre pressure sensors, not on this year 👍🏻👍🏻Thanks for watching 🚘🚘
aaanton11 Great Thanks!
Tire pressure sensors!! In a car many times sold without power windows, AC, electric mirrors. heated seats and a vast, etc. If course tire pressure sensors would be the first choice! LOL 😂
Who was the eBay seller again?? 👍🏻🚙
Wheel bolts extended 16 x M12 x 1.5, 35mm Thread, Radius Wheel Bolts (Silver)
eBay seller alloy-wheel-solutions.co.uk
