Welcome to the brilliant island of the sun!...
Beautiful Rhodes, cant wait to go back
I'm going to Rhodes this Sunday!!! I can't wait!
Greece the land of the living, never a history so great and achievement far than any other. My enduring RESPECT!
Paradise, even going to a "low end" hotel here has so many possibilities. Beaches, history, mountains, forest, dessert, culture and all very close together.
Been going to Rhodes for many years and this video captures it all. It has an endless list of great great beaches, wonderfull restaurants, great architectural and historic sites, wonderful small villages with a charm of their own, and the people are very likable.Love it.
Spend the day time shopping, touring historical sites, and playing in the beach. Wait till after dark to hit the bars and nightclubs. Great food, friendly people, great waters, and great diving sites. Been there three times and wish I could go back.
I love sooo much Rhodos and creta . Visit in 2015 ... beautiful . Romania 2018
Land belongs to someone who loves it and feels the need to protect it.Turkish people always wanted to capture Greece and epsecially Rhodes tha Island of knights because of it's beauty and natural and economical rich.Turkish history is a history of many parts of death, destructions, arrogant leaders and expansive policy....
Un saluto ai "fratelli" greci!

The letter ⟨C⟩ was the western form of the Greek gamma, but it was used for the sounds /ɡ/ and /k/ alike, possibly under the influence of Etruscan, which might have lacked any voiced plosives. Later, during the 3rd century BC, the letter ⟨Z⟩.. was replaced with the new letter ⟨G⟩, a ⟨C⟩ modified with a small vertical stroke, which took its place in the alphabet. From then on, ⟨G⟩ represented the voiced plosive /ɡ/, while ⟨C⟩ was generally reserved for the voiceless plosive /k/...
Fabulous Rhodes :)
Best island in the world
I agree,my favourite island anywhere
Get there! Its wonderful!
After the Roman conquest of Greece in the 1st century BC, Latin adopted the Greek letters ⟨Y⟩ and ⟨Z⟩ (or readopted, in the latter case) to write Greek loanwords, placing them at the end of the alphabet. An attempt by the emperor Claudius to introduce three additional letters did not last. Thus it was that during the classical Latin period the Latin alphabet contained 23 letters:

That's my home..;D
All they need to do now is go ahead with that proposal to rebuild the statue, and also rebuild Naillac tower and bring back the windmills. You know, just to piss Crete off even more.....
Some people dream of Paradise Island. Some people look for it all there life. Some have a huge bank account and think they can pay for it. And then there are some of us who are lucky enough to live in it. Wellcome to RHODES HELLAS😎😎😍😍
The island of Rhodes was inhabited in the Neolithic period, by Greek tribes... In Pindar's ode, the island was said to be born of the union of Helios the sun god and the nymph Rhode, and the cities were named for their three sons. The rhoda is a pink hibiscus native to the island. Diodorus Siculus added that Actis, one of the sons of Helios and Rhode, travelled to Egypt. He built the city of Heliopolis and taught the Egyptians the science of astrology .You have nothing to do with it,Turk!
go on, dude, you are gonna make it one day, Byzantium had been discussing whether angels had wings or not, before ottomans took İstanbul :)
haha bet your jealous im here now!
@tklouvas Yes Rhodes is great! When i went the place i went to was near a castle and it was really great! The place was clean and the town was good too. I honesly recommend going and seeing all the beatiful sights!
Any Finns or Swedes here? :D
@StellaGeorgakopoulos and also the most expensive for addition. :)))
not much info
Sorry i wanted to write"Don't worry about the Greeks"
yperoxo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Romans LEARNED EVERYTHING FROM THE GREEKS.... Roman culture was highly influenced by the Greeks; as Horace said, Graecia capta ferum victorem cepit. (Translation: Captive Greece captured her rude conqueror.) ...
i mentioned Anatolia not İstanbul which is also ours.. You know the Hittites, OK
@tklouvas the-most-beautiful;)
don't be afraid, it was a joke :D
The plumbing there is atrocious lol.
HAVE YOU EVER STUDIED HISTORY?
ok law :) Codex belongs to Rome , Romans speaked Latin and Latin Alphabet, even us using it. Roman architecture beats you in every place , maybe except templates.. Because there are only templates in Greece as historical architecture..in Trade and banking Muslims lightened the world at dark ages of Europe.. In Administration, Egypt had consistent structure, that's why lasted for long . Even Ottoman sovereignity lasted 6 century , for four of it you were under them :)
most beautifull place on earth ..after Kreta
our greek friends have to quit their dreams that may never come true such as recapturing constantinople(istanbul)! the entire population of greece is about 10 million. and population of istanbul is over 14 million. we lived together for centuries. there is no reason for keeping this hostility between us.we have a lot in common. why don't we try to like each other and be friend instead of being enemy?
And worry about Greeks. Even in our worst moment we know how to work out things. Try to go a little bit further and use the things that unite us and not the things that divide us. And things will go better for everybody. Evolution is to take all the best from every civilization and use it in your own way.As a nation is nothing but a cultural product.
really ! then why you came to our homeland, ..just to be defeated.. what would Metaxas tell you about what you think?
kanunı sultan süleyman
Your forefathers said so, buried them in here
go on,you can swear of course..There are thousands of version of muslim..I am member of Turk Nation and it's not your business whom i believe and i don't care whom you believe in but it does matter my nationality because we fought back in the past..
HA,HA,...The codex derived from ancient Sparta...Latin derived from Greek,..Latin alphabet= It was Carmenta, the Cimmerian Sibyl, who altered fifteen letters of the Greek alphabet to become the Latin alphabet, which her son Evander introduced into Latium, 60 years before the Trojan War,...
maybe not :)
;)
its just seen from turkey. we should get it back. greeks just invaded there how bad.
lol when something is close to you doesn't mean you own it. Also learn history because rhodes was NEVER a turkish island. It was an Italian island but Italy gave it to Greece.
it doesnt seem you are going to "free" anywhere
Not Rhodes, in TÜRKİYE... ;)
If you really wanna know go and ask him.I know that Rhodes from the beginning of it's culture is Greek. It may was captured by you but it will never be Turkish land because it is not!!!!!
wow some turkish ppl write down here that rhodes is turkish HAHAHHAHAHAHA Rhodes is and always be GREEK
Another bummer who gets feed from trash.. How dare you talk To me like that?
you are in miserable situation right now. Don't try to get fancy, Egypt was hub of civilization once.. so what?
Why don't you check your genealogical tree man: do you really believe that some thousand turks of the small but brutal Osman tribe that invaded Asia Minor in medieval times could change the genealogy of the area. Do the inhabidans of today’s turkey look like Turkmen or Moguls? Do you look like them? Check your mirror yenitsar!
Anatolia...Troy, Lycian,Lydians,Ionians,Mysians ..all these people were Greeks, and Hittites were not Turks, and their language has nothing to do with you!...Their language has being extinct ...The earliest known Turkic inscriptions are the three monumental Orkhon inscriptions found in modern Mongolia..YOUR HOMELAND! BEHAVE!
