Thanks Jimmy. As an ASS-ian, I can confirm having been directed to South African web sites on more than one occasion when trying to search up local content, the pain is real. This week’s Merit awards go to Vampires and hardware panic buying.
Yup. Do a web search absently click on something from South Africa and elsewhere in Africa. The machine figures it got it right and keeps offering occasional South African, Zambian and Kenyan sites years later.
Better than 30 years ago, why is this connection slower than usual? trace internet packets going from OZ up to Asia, across and down to South Africa then back up to Europe and across to US, or across to US then down to Tierra del Fuego and back to US presumably because southern tip of South America or Africa is closer to OZ or something. 90,000 km round trip either way.

I love the new vampie look it's cool ❤ from the west coast, doing the weekly shop and it feels like covid is coming this way people aren't panicking yet but are slowly stocking up ,because certain items aren't in the store and it's not the usual ones either.
Could be because distribution centres in the east can only operate with 50% staff due to lockdowns...a lot of the shortages are just because there aren't enough pick n packers to get everything out.

I tried the Bunnings panic buy before regional lockdown. Drove 30 mins to my closest. The queues were huge, no social distancing so drove through the carpark and 30 mins home. Never thought I would see a Bunnings panic buy. Needed the laugh today thanks Jimmy.

When I watch these as well as laughing it makes me realise how lucky I’ve been. I normally live in TAS but Im in central Aus (NT) this year. Through all of covid I’ve had the initial lockdown March last year and I was working so didn’t really notice it, then a 3 day lockdown here in the territory. These videos help me understand how bad others have it without having to watch the news which I hate so I rarely do.
