I loved this video and was very surprised about the sailfish. I was actually fortunate enough to fish in the White Marlin Open this year great experience. Nice blue man!!!
First off, what a phenomenal video recap of your slam and any time you get to pull up to the scales during the WMO it's incredible but there's something special doing it with a big old mr blue suit with that big ole tail fin hanging over the gunnel, lol. (Oh, yea, and just ignore the ppl who don't understand and/or can't get a fish up thats worth sticking themselves. Stick that one every damn day and twice on Sunday lmao)
Can someone hire a charter to fish in a tournament? Or do you have to own your own boat? I’d love to do something like this with some experienced people around to show me the ropes
I’m not sure about this particular tournament, but here on the Gulf Coast, billfish tournaments in Pensacola, Destin, Orange Beach, Biloxi, & Venice, LA are usually fished by experienced local charter boats hired by clients wanting to fish a specific tournament.
It’s like 50k for a charter in this tournament it’s the biggest tournament in the us it has a 10 mil prize pool and the captains rather join it for 1500 then charter so they have a chance at the prize. But if you just wanted to go in a charter for marlin and tuna it’s about 1200 - 2000 because you have to go 80 miles out.
Man those are some huge bass no cap

In a center console too!? Much trickier when trolling but get from one place to another real quick
So where did the fish and you guys place that year?
Impressive fish guys! Compliments on the video too.

Cool
How much she weigh?
Angler was resting the rod on the covering board, fish is DQed by IGFA rules, but it doesn’t look 114 inches either. Good try
Did Marolina give you rights to rip their Vimeo based original content?
they said it was okay
lol 😂
You guys get DQ'ed? Passing the rods hooked, keeping the rod in the pole holder...yikes
The mate is allowed to pass the rod to the angler but no one can touch it after that.
Intro song?
Killing billfish is dumb and such a waste.
How could yall kill such a beautiful majestic animal like that..shame..
Hahahahaha 👏
Where I come from we do catch, tag, and release. The thrill of the hunt. Don't need the kill.
My thoughts exactly.Fish has to be terrified being dragged through the water with a hook in it's jaw.
