- Antigua was awesome! We rented a car and drove on the left side for the first time ever! We checked out Nelson's Dockyard, Shirley Heights, and the town of St John! Unfortunately, we got rained out at the center of town. It was an amazing place, with super chill people and a great resort! Tell us what you think!

Lol first premier and Prime Minister of Antigua/Barbuda and also he lead us unto independence from England and it was Queen Elizabeth 2nd sister Princess Margaret who came for the official service of it at the ARG- Antigua Recreation Grounds aka " Diamond in the Soil" , we celebrate our Independence November 1st. Yes I stayed on the original grounds in 2003. The Royal Antiguan was the original and I had a nice time, but I'm looking forward to going to this new resort. Thank you so much for this video. Blessings

looks very nice, a little bare, needs some trees. i just got back from Royalton St Lucia and would rate that as a nice 4 star resort also. Very similar to this one but not as nice a beach.

Thank you for filming your trip and sharing your commentary. We were there in May '22 - there are a few more updates, and the casino is open. The specialty restaurant's service is still slow but we didn't mind - we were on vacation!! Love the island - and would definitely return. The Royalton has the best beach and water!! Now I will need to look at some of your other videos -)

Beautiful island! I've only been to the beach there after taking a ferry from St. Maarten. I drove on the left side once while visiting St. Thomas and the hardest part is after a turn cuz I instinctively veer back to the right side. Your views are breathtaking especially the drone views I've haven't seen anyone use that on a video before. That's really cool! Tfs.
Glad you enjoyed it! There are countries that will take the drone at customs. It happened in Belize. For that reason, we are careful about where we use it.

Is it worth paying for the diamond club? That should be explained
We enjoyed Diamond Club and thought it was worth it.
Is there a whirlpool tub on the non-diamond club side?
Good question. Can’t be sure. We did not go inside the other rooms.
Was there any nightlife and entertainment?
That’s where the resort fell short. There was no night life.
Was there any pool parties or shows throughout your trip
There are shows but I would say entertainment is an area where they fall short.
Which do you prefer the Antigua resort or st lucia? Trying to decide
That’s a tough question. It really depends on your personal preferences. We’ve heard that the Antigua resort has a casino. That would definitely improve the night life. We were there at 2 different times of year. October is off season for the Caribbean and less crowded. There was more space on the beach. The Antigua resort is also much smaller. We liked that. However the ocean view we had in Saint Lucia was everything! If you can get an ocean view in Antigua in off season that might be the way to go. Hope this helps.

By the way the Diamond Club I am asking about is not the hotel swim up, but the lounge that allows you to get drinks and food unlimited style ? lol
The Swim up is part of the Diamond club upgrade. Not sure you can get one without the other.

There's a lot of negative online reviews regarding this particular resort. Looks like your video review is overwhelmingly positive. Think this might have something to do with it being the off-season as well?

Yes. There’s a play area for kids and teens. Night life is pretty tame.

The airport wasn't too far from the resort. If you plan to drive make sure you download maps offline to your phone before. you leave home.
