This is such a great topic and I couldn't agree more. Me being in my 30s, now looking back I honestly wasted so much money over the years on products that I didn't even need and don't even know if they had any long term effect.
Hey y'all I just wanted to say that even though I think we should buy less expensive makeup doesn't mean I don't want to buy expensive makeup!!!! Make up is so cute and I'm literally just a girl !!!!!!!!😭😭 but I understand that not shopping in higher end cosmetic stores will def help me save money!! I will still occasionally buy make up but less than now + maybe I'll wear make up less??? idk I just wanted to add this so I don't sound like a hypocrite if I ever do another make up review.
Don't justify yourself, ;) it's a good mindset to buy less makeup or less expensive to safe money it's all good. You don't need to be perfect all the time, no one is
This is so true! I do buy high end makeup with a mix of drugstore, but I dont buy often and I put research into what I want to buy to know it is truly the product I want, not the brand or the price tag. I feel like that is important.
I wish I could use more dupes. They are far more likely to have fragrances/ flavors. I’m highly allergic. I will say skincare has improved vastly on the drug store side the drugstore stuff is definitely getting expensive. I use the most expensive drugstore stuff with the exception of the ordinary. On the upside my allergies and eczema make impulse shopping is impossible. I just can’t buy something I have to carefully research any skincare or makeup.
@@jenniferlacey6974 I never understood why companies put all those fragrances into their products, I heard it makes people like the product more because it smells nice but it literally makes the product worse for some people! but as you said at least having allergies prevents you from impulse buying. Something I should have talked about in the video is that it's definitly better to have a few expensive products that you research and are right for you than impulse buying a ton of cheap products, not only is it better for your skin, it's better for the planet!

Really liked the way you phrased this!
Also thanks for adding subtitles :)

You’re absolutely right!
