I had someone message me saying they were surprised I didn't speak positively about the new Pickleball Apes Pulse paddles coming. I thought I did speak positivly about them ha so I wanted to clarify what I said here. - I liked it and thought it was a good control paddle and am looking forward to playing it more. I like the crisper, plush feel compared to the super plush feel of control style gen 1 paddles, I think the variation in feel from a dink to a drive make it easier to control rather than everything feeling the exact same like most gen 1 style paddles do. I made an argument on my podcast last week how 14mm paddles with more feedback like that are easier to control so I liked that the Pulse was like that but packed in a 16mm with a bigger sweet spot. Maybe I explained it weirdly on the podcast, I'm better at writing than talking ha. -
Reviews I've seen so far for the Apes Pulse paddle has been very positive with the V variant as the most popular, even from players who typically hit with an elongated/hybrid shape
Yes, shoes are so important. I have been on a shoe journey and gone through so many. I’ve have had the toe jamming, skin removed from my ankles and back of my foot from the collar rubbing to planter fasciitis and even a pair of shoes that made my arch fall (very painful). But after all that the Mizuno wave enforce tours have been the best shoes for my feet even with having one foot a 2E and the other a medium, 😂😂😂
He should make a short and make it a commercial just drinking from the straw and looking into the camera and then after he takes his sip saying the brand name like an 80s commercial ha😂😂😂😂
I really liked my viper pro courts. The tractions, comfort, and look of the shoe were great. Unfortunately the upper ripped horizontally at my pinky toe all the way to the middle of the toe box. Switched to the head revolt 4.5 on Chris’s recommendation. That 50 dollar sale was hard to pass up.
Great podcast. The UPA certification fee feels a little high, and it is not known how effective it will be. Currently only one of Joola's paddles has UPA-A.
There are a bunch of barefoot style shoes that run a lot of ads. I tried one of them and found them super comfortable, but kept shifting or even slipping out during play. I don't use them for pickleball, but wear them a lot bc they're so comfortable. Would like to see you guys try different barefoot shoes and see what you think.
DUPR these podcast battle games, baby. Any chance of you streaming it? I'd like to come and watch, depending on what time you all play. Do you have a time booked yet?
20k, and 5k each EVERY YEAR is still way too much, I feel like I’m taking crazy pills when I’m talking against this and people saying I’m way out of line, I’m thinking they threw out the 100k stuff to make this more digestible
Might need to shave those bad boys down to fit in some 12s 😂 I remember growing up and getting those eastbay shoe catalogs. If you had a big foot you could find some killer deals on cleats and other sports shoes. Idk if that’s still a thing

“I got super stable ankles” killed me! Made think of Uncle Rico from Napoleon Dynamite who can “throw a pigskin a quarter-mile!”😜😂
I haven’t seen that show in ages ha I need to pull that out of the archive!
If you are going to do accessories I think job one should be protective eye wear.
Glasses would be fun and I agree super valuable.
Specifically best for sun and glare of indoor lighting has been an issue at club where I play
I like the Montis pickleball shoes....a little wider toe box lets your toes splay for a more comfortable fit while still supporting well in the heel
I’m all about a wider toe box. I like a secure heel and room in the toes. That’s my ideal fit
Owala bottles are the bee’s knees!! Ive collected 4 of them over the last couple years, haven’t used another bottle since.
Can’t believe you’ve been holding out on me for so long.
@@pickleballeffect you find something as easy to suck as owala you gotta keep that secret to yourself hahaha

These Holey supplements are exactly what I'm looking for. Thank you for your recommendation.
The Holey hydration drinks are so good.
I think Braydon should do more water bottle reviews!!! 😂

@@DinkSmashMediaman i was cracking up
I would love for you guys to discuss a bunch of different shoes like you do paddles.
That’s kind of the plan. I want to get a lot of shoes and ones that go under the radar as well
I just got some new shoes for PB (head revolt pros). I have wide feet and they don't feel that bad. They are light and well ventilated.
Thank you Braydon and Kyle. Can Quiet paddle skin be applied to any paddle? How long will it last? It reminds me of Reload.

I’ve been wanting to try the Montis Drop 1.0 and the Head Motion Pro shoes.
New Balance Two WXY V4 or V5 best pickleball shoes by far. Very durable, very comfortable, very supportive, great traction, amazing ankle support
I mean I am a dad that enjoys bbq so new balance is up my alley 😂😂😂
Really like the montis pickleball shoes and they have a wide cut which is nice
Acacia is the only pickleball shoe I wear, Lime & Fire look awesome. I get so many compliments and asked what brand I wear.
I just shot them a message. Totally forgot about them. I had seen the brand years ago when I first started but not much since
I love my Mizuno court shoes! You should take a look at them.
Mizunos are legit, that’s what I wear. I go between the exceeds and the enforces
Kyle - Did you ever put a Hesacore on that Thompson paddle? If so, how’d it go? Just ordered the paddle and was interested. Thanks!!
Adderall is the number #1 accessory for the pro tour.
Lets be real though a solid 2/3rds of the pros probably have undiagnosed adhd so at this point they are probably just properly medicated
i wear the sketchers mcguffin shoes. love them. i have a friend who swears by montis. im curious
I liked the Tysons but I absolutely destroyed them too quickly. I can wave with my toes through the holes in the fabric. Super comfy though

Will Chris and Aizec bring some Melin hat(s) for you to compete for?

A lot of these pickleball shoes don't come in a size 14 which is disappointing.
