This lithium mining project discussion provided a comprehensive and insightful exploration of the multifaceted issues surrounding lithium extraction, covering economic benefits, environmental impacts, and social considerations. Ben highlighted the importance of sustainable practices, community engagement, and ethical sourcing in the mining industry, emphasizing the need for a balanced approach to meet the growing demand for lithium while minimizing adverse effects on local communities and ecosystems. The dialogue encouraged critical thinking, raised awareness, and empowered listeners to advocate for responsible resource management and environmental stewardship in the mining sector, underscoring the significance of transparency, accountability, and sustainability in the realm of resource extraction and development.

So since independence and with all these "lawyers" and "public interest" groups, ghana law does not protect Ghanaian interests? ..... pathetic

We need to change our mining laws. We have to go the Mexican way. All mineral deposits we designate as strategic must be 100% owned by the Ghana government. All companies and individuals (local and foreign) should do the extraction and processing as our employees. I see no reason why companies like Anglogold and Newmont should not work for us as employees under a management contract. That means the government should be prepared to invest money in these operations.

When they take the mining contracts, they don't pay the workers well..... so which one is the benefit to the indigenous you're talking of???
Foreigners even pay good money and also have good safety measures.

Deuteronomy 28:33, 43-46. Yet people shall not believe as if it nullifies what is written. Surely, what is written is written and shall come to pass. When would Jacob / Israelites wake up? Shalom
