he's freezing the wave so the Jax loses exp. If he used empowered R there he would melt thru the next wave of minions and won't be able to hold the wave where he wants it. If he did use R and killed the Jax + pushed the wave in, he would be in a tough spot when Jax spawned back because Jax would have more prio. He's holding the wave near his tower so he plays safely: freezes wave, jax loses exp, he gets a huge minion push, then he gets prio for jg and rift.
IDK Man... i picked udyr top for the first time this season and got DEMOLISHED by a Jax..Dude literally walked into me and AA/Stun me to death.. where do i find these guys that just give up chasing you after a bit of kiting?
probably for better farming + to try and get thru Udyr's W. Jax went AD and can't farm well against an Udyr, he has no way of clearing the wave as fast.
Omagawd! I didn't remember Riftmaker being so fkn broken on its release. Having M.Pen while also giving true damage and it was 15% of the damage. Lol I remember the 15% Omnivamp though. It was so fucking broken on Voli's passive early on. Fucking broken sustain. If you couldn't kill him right away in one trade you had to gtfo your lane because he was gonna heal back to full in about one wave and a half (one if Candy wave).

jax had Q to jump like he just did after he stunned him, if he empowered phoenix jax hops out anyways and he has no awaken passive left
