In my personal opinion as a woman, I've never seen anything wrong with War of Hormone's lyrics. I don't consider them to be misogynistic nor sexist and I think it was never meant to be like this. The title itself explains that the song is told from young guys' perspective and is basically about praising the other sex. Compared to American mainstream songs, it's not vulgar at all. I can understand why some people were upset tho and I'm so proud of Namjoon for admitting to his "mistake" and educating himself on the topic. It really shows their personal growth as humans and as artists.
Hey! Thanks for continuing. As much as some things hurt and still hurt because they keep reappearing (but now ARMY is say 60M, that's why this hate cannot rise up like before). You see when that was happening to Hobi, omg, I remember being so so so angry and sad at people. I've been on "the internet" since 2000 ish, and never have I seen so much hate online. If you see, in the clips, right after Hobi mentioned that (more or less) they all went on a 3 day vacation/weekend. BH didn't send Hobi alone because that would make those haters happy, so they sent all the guys out "as if" it was a vacation in general and whatever hate wasn't getting to them, because that's what in the end haters want: attention. Sorry but this, today, riles me up so so much. Glad you are not that active on twitter bc it's super ugly what you encounter here and there ^^U

The question highlighted from "problematic men" (men who solve problems) were all in English (the cast was fluent too, but that's a feat to think outside the box in a language that's not yours). Plus there were more tricky, elaborated questions, not those "gotcha" ones like the 28-day months and so on ;) Def watch it! :D The leader question were aimed to the 2nd guy to his right too! he's Suho, leader of EXO, by the way ^^

Shiki, FYI - Aneesa the creator of The Rise of Bangtan series started running tests on her later episodes to ensure that the content doesn't get blocked by TH-cam. She shared this info on one of her livestreams on why it had taken so much longer to post her chapters. Please note, she does not monetize any of The Rise of Bangtan. In other words, she doesn't earn a penny from views of her videos because she chose to include songs and music, which often gets copyright claims. She does it for the art and importance of making the impact the videos needed by the music! (Another reactor DJ Jino explained this on his reaction to Chapter 9. He saluted her for doing this!)
Breaks my heart what these wonderful young men have suffered through, J-Hope broke my heart there talking about having a break. So very glad they stuck it out, can you imagine BTS without him or any of them? They had to struggle so hard, and now I'm so proud of them and love them more because of it. Thank you God for these amazing young men. Never thought at my stage of life (early 50's) I would end up loving a group of men I've never met. Can't imagine not having them in my life now. Everytime I see thoses things about Hobi it breaks my heart. Hobi it soooo talented, sooo handsome, sweet and kind, a ball of sunshine and hope. Whenever the discussion on how RM came to be the leader is mentioned, this story from an ex-trainee (Brightoon)always come to mind: RM gathered all the BigHit Trainees and said “We don’t know who’s gonna make it till the end. You might become BTS and I might not. Nevertheless, instead of fights and rivalry during our trainee days, let’s compete in good faith. Let’s practice and help each other when we need each other.” I sincerely believe that this early intervention really set the tone that made the close relationship among the boys possible in spite of the highly competitive and pressuring atmosphere and nature of the idol training system that more often than not result to a lot of in-fighting and disdain among members in other groups. It shows how they got to have a good foundation of trust and camaraderie from the start. And i think this was the key on how none of the member’s egos or issues of jealousy got in the way of their success. He is such a great leader in setting this tone and environment for the group. And, the bottom line is, 'envy hates what it cannot achieve.' Hateful words thrown at people, including artists, should be ignored as much as possible because they don't define who they are. On the other hand, to say that 'it should have no affect on those on the receiving end' is presumptuous. It's down-right cruelty without reason. It's 2022, and they're beyond successful. Their cares and concerns have shifted. However, I'm sure it still feels some kind of way. Turn the other cheek, BTS. Fighting! 💜
The Red Bullet Tour means so much to me. Literally I went to Korea for the first time in my life the same week they dropped HYYH Pt.1. I remember watching INU MV at the Busan guesthouse I was staying at and fell in love immediately. Then I went down the rabbit hole for about a few weeks when I realised their TRBinKL tickets were already being sold. I checked the website and saw that VIP tickets were still available, bought that with so much ease (no such thing as ticketing war in 2015 haha). I was one of the 3,000 ARMYs that attended that show. It was so good, especially when they performed If I Ruled The World and at that "Everybody say he-o-e-oh-oh!" they got everyone in the venue to sing it with them. Awesome memory but they never came back! Come back to Malaysia boys! haha
Every time I listen to “born singer “ I end up in tears… I cannot express the feelings or emotions that perfect interpretation brings to me. My total admiration for them!

Jhope is technically older than RM also by about 7 or 8 months. But because they are both born in 94, they have a very casual relationship and don't refer to one another in the formal way. Its really cool how close all the boys are. Thanks for reacting to this!!! Chapter 7 is an RM focus and i love it since he is basically the foundation and soul of the group. Regarding War Of Hormone, I can see why people, especially women, were aggravated by it. For some women it wouldn’t bother them but for others it can make them feel objectified due to the tone & visuals of the song and how it makes it seem that the men wouldn’t look past anything but their bodies, or at least I kinda felt that way. It kinda feels humiliating. What I’m happy about is how Bangtan acted after that, how they perceived that that emotion can be felt by some women due to their song, and they pursued in trying to fix the tone of their music, not just for themselves, but in order to help bring as many people up as they can through their music, not down. It’s so moving and beautiful and I am so glad to be able to have learned from them what true growth means. I’m glad they made that mistake in their music because it is a part of what makes them such admirable people today, not due to the mistake itself, but how they responded to it in years to come.

I think people may struggle with the lyrics of the song more for the double standard of the concept. A teen girl is going to be feeling the same war of the hormones as the guy, but it is expected of her to be level headed about it and such where it is okay for the guy to basically let that desire control him. Just a thought/opinion. You should watch the show RM was on, I usually see it called "Problematic Men" very bad translation, but the original translation was something like "men with problems" thats why it uses some form of the smart brainy title now.
@Shiki - The irony, right? BTS getting slammed with misogynistic lyrics (which in fact are actually quite benign) when you look at the 20+ years of USA rapper lyrics and visual content that degrade women and girls all the time and are never held accountable.
