took test drive today. was thinking of Creta earlier saw practical benefits of this car. its really good car. biggest + is 7 seats. also cabin space is too good. driving is smooth & very responsive. car is full of features which are really practical in day 2 day life. only thing missing is touch system with rear camera which could be fixed. I have checked prices with other cars surprisingly its fairly priced so i am going for this car with V diesel variant. Thanks for you helpful review.

Now the BRV makes lot more sense with reverse parking camera and sensor and 7 inch touch infotainment system coming factory fitted in top end, and during the festival offer honda fest, BRV VX MT is cheaper than Hyundai Creta SX+ by 1.5 lakhs and with this addition has same features. Plus you get a reliable honda with 7 seats or 690 lt boot when 3rd row folded (which i prefer). Ur opinion?

Seems to be very nice. But in 2016 people would definitely prefer to have features like a Touch screen as well as rear view parking camera. Had the features been there, I would have booked a petrol version by now.
Abhishek Krishnan you can upgrade any and everything to specifically meet your needs and it would cost you a lot less than what the company would have asked for had they installed these features in it already.

Its petrol models are Rs 1.75lakh overpriced and diesel models are Rs 2.5 lakh overpriced. Top model diesel is exceeding 14 lakhs .. Not a worth at all. For 1.5Ltr and below 110Ps engine. Better to buy Suzuki XL 6. Now Indian are buying internationally known as cheap brands such as Kia and MG, so doesn't make any difference in status symbol whether Honda or Suzuki.

Honda wants Indian people to adjust with the features for their brand name which has nothing to do in India. They have not even produced a single product keeping in mind the Indian public security in this vehicle. They produce keeping in mind the higher profit margin with chief quality features or refuse to add the features which the TATA Tiago has on offer for less than 5 lacs. Honda has to prove first with a full fledged vehicle that could make Indian trust the Honda brand as Toyota did with Quails then they have to think of adding the product line.
The rear design is uglier than Creta. The dashboard too is big disappointment. In short an overpriced vehicle offering nothing except Honda reliability

Bro u misunderstood BR-v got 1.5 cc diesel with 100 hp n 200 nm torque while creta got 1.6 cc with 128 hp with 260 nm torque... Now u tell which one got better engine... BR-v didn't hav good NVH level engine n road noise filters into cabin while creta got best NVH level...☺n ground clearance is nt major criteria for buying an urban SUV...
+jacob singh Dude have you even driven the brv. It may not be as quiet as the creta. But it's not bad at all. And about the power and torque figures, the creta has considerable lag whereas in the brv it is negligible. And if you compare the petrol motors there's no doubt that one in the brv is definitely much better. You can't beat Honda's petrol engines.

Creta is a crappy car. It is at least 1.5 lakh more expensive

u r right creta is over priced bt at least we get all features... n here in BR-V its simply a piece of shit. . . looks like mobilio its nt SUV bt more like MUV with no gadgets for use. . . :)
+jacob singh I agree that Brv looks like an muv, but at least it's ground clearance is 210mm whereas the ground clearance of creta , which by the way was christened as 'The Perfect SUV' has only 190 mm of ground clearance. And also if you look at the performance of the 2 cars BRV is better than creta. But I agree it misses out on the important touchscreen infotainment system along with reverse camera
Bro u misunderstood BR-v got 1.5 cc diesel with 100 hp n 200 nm torque while creta got 1.6 cc with 128 hp with 260 nm torque... Now u tell which one got better engine... BR-v didn't hav good NVH level engine n road noise filters into cabin while creta got best NVH level...☺n ground clearance is nt major criteria for buying an urban SUV...
+jacob singh Dude have you even driven the brv. It may not be as quiet as the creta. But it's not bad at all. And about the power and torque figures, the creta has considerable lag whereas in the brv it is negligible. And if you compare the petrol motors there's no doubt that one in the brv is definitely much better. You can't beat Honda's petrol engines.
