Oceania Riviera ship tour & review (Refurbished)

Riviera is a really good choice if you like a mid-sized ship with lots of dining options and on board activities. It is also well suited to people who crave unique travel experiences on their shore excursions.
However, Riviera’s large size means service can be patchy and somewhat impersonal.
That said, Riviera offers a very good cruise vacation experience.

Most likely cultural reasons; tipping is less of a cultural norm. Also, competing cruise lines DO include gratuities, so Oceania may risk losing business.

Your travel agent may gift you enough shipboard credit to cover gratuities. That is often our experience. You should definitely book through a travel agent.
