Today it's BRING IT ON and Dramaturgy
I haven't seen anyone do this (At least for these two rhythm games) So I thought I'd do something like this. I'm planning to do this for other songs too so let me know if you have any specific requests!

in gameplay wise, pj sekai is better because their charts are more fixable and interesting to play, while song, i like how bandori change the intrusmental and is longer, but personally i prefer pj sekai's short versions since their charts being harder can make my hands hurt more or disconcentrate for a bit if it was longer

PuroSekai is much harder to transition to. It's a short song but really dense and hard to read even at high speed. That is really rare in many bandori maps.
Recently got into prosekai as a d4dj/bandori player, and I can confirm this. Especially since the notes in prosekai can vary in size and overlap multiple lanes, making it harder to read

Sorry but for me level 32 above pj sekai songs is way harder than all bandori lv 29 below songs
ProSeka's charts look better overall. You can almost feel the song from just notes alone because they mirror the song itself. I won't be surprised if SEGA's in charge of charting this time.
I also prefer shorter versions of the songs. Longer ones tend to be repetitive.

Yeah when I play Sekai I feel one with the music and sick af. Bandori, while you can still get the satisfaction of FCing or nailing a hard part it doesn’t hit like Sekai does. Sekai does have some charts that are absolutely wild when it comes “adding extra beats” (while it can be me just not being good enough yet songs above 28/29 on master in Sekai are functional impossible for me personally lol) but overall Sekai really does capture the Diva spirit. That being the “you are part of the music making”. (For those unaware, Diva games typically have this subtext that you are helping the vocaloids sing with you playing the game. X is the most explicit in this but overall that’s why the vocaloids will literally shut up when you miss.)
Also full songs are agony. There are only a so many songs that I would actually want to play the full song but otherwise please don’t make FCing harder. Also full songs is part of why I despise Melt. Always is full song in the games it shows up in for some reason and hella repetitive to play yet oddly the most annoying to FC.
It's exactly why I stopped playing bandori and went to pjsekai instead. Of course pjsekai has its issues too, but i get more enjoyment from playing it than I did with bandori
The difference a huge multinational entertainment conglomerate and a much smaller card game publisher
it's so sad seeing so many people quit bandori for pjsk it might be because I've been playing since the jp release but it's even worse when the same people make fun of the game they first play on tiktok
and tbh ive had the opposite reaction of others i actually hated the way prosekai worked and dumped it like 15 minutes after the data download

for me personally i fell out of bandori a year previous to pjsk’s debut and pjsk made me realize how much i hate how bandori’s beatmaps and ui is compared to pjsk 😭 i still harbor so much love for that game + pasupare especially but something about garupa is unplayable for me now ☹️ the cards that drop in garupa are still hella gorgeous to this day and i miss scouting for them and tiering there
Honestly I prefer Bang dream, sure the maps can be exhausting at times but full comboing them is alot more satisfying then pjsekais. Atleast for me(mainly because of the diffuculty) Also the flicks are so much less hell in bandori. But I think they're both on a equal footing in terms of general quality though
i like some features from bandori and some from project sekai. you can save fav list while in project sekai, you can have alternitive vocal versions.
As a player of both, pjsekai has been easier for me to clear&fc difficult songs. I feel as tho pjsekai is waaaayy more lenient in timing for notes & combos.
I was able to clear three 28+ experts on pjsekai (intense voice, disappearance, & six trillion) way before I could even fc 27 on bang dream. And just yesterday I barely passed six trillion expert & special on bang dream. But I’m very proud of my improvement as a thumb player lol
Solidarity my friend as a fellow thumb player. And congrats on your improvement! It always feels good to go back and play a song that was clearable but straining but now you can clear it like it was nothing/ straight up FC it. Definitely feels nice to see that concrete improvement like that.
IKR. I played pjsekai for 2 Weeks and I managed to finish level 31. Meanwhile I played bandori for almost 4 years and I still can't finish level 29💀

Well It's Because PJsekai's Judgement Are Lighter, For Example You Barely Miss A Note And It'll Show Up As A Great Nor Good(Probably Good is Counted As Combo Unlike Bandori), And Bandori's Judgement Are So Strict., When It Comes To Tapping, That Shtty Slide and Long Notes LOLOLOL, Anyways this is a bit late but congrats on your improvement

pjsekais beatmaps are more readable and easy imo but i love both

Project Sekai is better gameplay wise (and visual wise ig). Sega learned a lot from their previous PD titles (mainly the F series) and know how to make charts feel different from eachother. Yes it's very difficult with such simple gameplay but they manage to nail it most of the times. If you don't understand what I mean I'd recommend watching "What makes Project Diva work?" by JOEZCafe
As a bandori and pjsekai player, bandori's gameplay is easier to me also I like bandori covers more

ive always found my experience playing proseka to be much more enjoyable and rewarding ( no joke i actually cried when i cleared expert tondemo wonderz, pathetic ik but it had be really stumped at the time and being able to finish it just felt so good ) and ive been playing bandori for a year or so longer than proseka. i prefer bandori’s cards and some covers but the jackpot sad girl cover in proseka is phenomenal, ive always loved vocaloid beat games so having a bandori-like one that’s polished and fun is really nice. because playing the fingers mode on prodiva switch drives me nuts XD

I played Bandori for a year (lvl 110??) and I quit for ProSeka. No regrets. So many of my fav songs and vocaloid are here.

Bro where, they're literally just in different keys they're not harmonised at all. They're super jarring and dissonant together. There might be a couple accidental ones here and there, but overall it's kind of just made of pain

Personally I like sekais covers better (vocaloid song wise). It feels like they sort of don't understand why a lot of the vocaloid songs they cover are popular. It feels like they don't really want to cover the songs but are just doing it anyways and that often makes it feel very obviously like a cover. It's got no heart I think and it's especially obvious with songs like bring it on. Bring it on is about immaturity, blind optimism but determination to take on any challenges life throws at you, it sort of encompasses what it feels like to be a rebellious (ish) teenager in a sense and has a lot of personality in and of itself. Bandoris cover... makes it more rock and gives the song the most mature sounding band, as well as the band who only got by as a band due to having a lot of funding so they don't really have a lot of issues since one of their members is just rich. It undermines the meaning of the song entirely and feels like it doesn't really understand the song itself, like the developers just read the lyrics and went "yeah this has a couple million views cover it." It feels like a cover to its very core basically, where as sekai at least tries to make you think the characters wrote the songs and doesn't just randomly decide who the cover will be for. At least this is just my opinion lol
It kinda fits with Raise A Sulien in a way. That rich member you talk about, Chu²/Chiyo, can't play music and is determined to prove that notion wrong, which is why RAS was formed in the first place. Not only that eventhough she's thier producer, Chu² is still immature being 13 years old and most of the time is the cause of conflict within the band due to her short temper.
i like the songs in bandori more (big roselia fan) but like the gameplay in prosekai more; it’s a lot more smooth
I personally like bandori's covers better because they made the cover's instrumentals and vocals fit the band's theme and it has a more unique sound to them :)

That mashup of Bring it On is awesome! Even though by better version I prefer Layer and Chu2's version, the original is still epic and they really turn into a awesome mashup when they're together and I love it!🥰💗👏
i like both, project sekai's gameplay is more fun than bandori's, but bandori's gameplay is tougher which makes me feel a lot more rewarded when fc-ing a song on expert/special

bandori's dramaturgy is genuinely so fun to play for me compared to pjsekai idk 😭 esp for the last few seconds of the song where bandori just goes crazy with the tap and flick notes + kasumi and ran's vocals UGHH it's so satisfying to fc it.

If you listen to the first song before being covered by bang dream, I think you will choose project sekai bcz Rin and Len voice
Tbh if its comparing with what chart is harder, i would say bandori. Istg the long notes makes me cry, those zigzag thingys that needs your hands to follow it makes it hard 😰
Thou i love prosekais because even if your far (not really that far) from the long note it doesnt mess up your combo

Ngl, i never played these two games. But, on Bandori i have a hard time noticing the key notes cuz they're round and kinda transparant. Is it like that or just the settings?

i really appreciate that you put the speed up for pjsk! most people keep it at like 7 and then complain its too slow
dramaturgy is painful to listen to cause afterglow plays into a different key then leo/need, and some people are gonna murder me for this but i like the bandori covers better and the pj sekai maps better
Your not the only one who has the same opinion so don't worry about it.
project sekai is easier to understand and I think it's prettier and not as exaggerated as bandori, but bandori supports many cell phone models, project sekai doesn't.
honestly if your first rhythm game is bandori i would say you get an advantage because you will have no problem in playing pjsekai if you were to switch game

I play both of them
I can say that both are really fun to play
Bandori maps are longer and it's a good thing to me (short maps aren't a problem honestly, but when it comes to certain songs in proseka I wish they choosed better, like some annoying songs gets lots of time and really good songs are usually short)
Some maps are better in Proseka others in Bandori
Covers in the majority of times I prefer Bandori or straight up the original (like Romeo & Cinderella or Reinan Saiban, yes the original with vocaloids)
Bandori is harder so sometimes it can be a pain in the ass lol (like, I play Bandori longer than Proseka, the levels I could complete was 26-27, 26 with exception of Miiro; and when it comes to Proseka I can complete levels 28-29)
In the end I like both of them
Bang Dream and Project Sekai’s Bring It On harmonized oddly well
in my opinion, both are really good!
honestly, all i really want in bandori is more vocaloid songs like what pjsk has, as pjsk does have the songs i really like
though i dont play pjsk, ive seen gameplay and sorta know how the game works, both are equally good games! ^V^

As a guy who started his first two rhythm yes this is so true to me my opinion can't biased since both of them are my First games started playing on may 12 2022.. psekai is definitely better when it comes to gameplay, visuals and stories ..only thing good about bandori is their long songs while sekai has vocaloids and MV's just my opinion I think people who says bandori is better is probably those poeple played bandori since released or have been playing for a long time and idk maybe salty , I've already seen many people said that they've moved to sekai due to same reasons, (gameplay,MV's,vocaloids,better stories, and cleaner charts) this is jus tmy opinion but some of it are opinion from others from what I've heard and seen on the internet.. and lastly sekai is easier than bandori and you can also feel the beat like ok tube watching them all perfect intense and disappearance and hearing those taps so loud on their screen is just satisfying..
bandori was my first japanese rhythm game, i love the fact that when they cover songs they make entirely new instrumentals. though, i stopped playing after the addition of raise a suilen and morfonica (only picked it up again like two days ago), and that bring it on cover really solidifies it. about 90% of the bandori music is amazing, i'm especially fond of roselia's and afterglow's music, but sheesh covers like ras bring it on or afterglow's the lost ones weeping are just so bad i don't want to play the songs. and that's where sekai gets the upper hand for me.
on top of having enjoyable, cohesive and flexible beatmaps (bc really, in bandori you would never be able to do the things you do in sekai with the hold notes. and playing sekai made me realize i'm actually good at rhythm games), sekai has the option of listening to the covers or original vocaloids. i always choose the vocaloids as they're the entire reason i play the game, and i love being able to play bring it on without the terrible bandori cover playing. this makes me even more glad that en sekai came out last month bc i can finally enjoy a rhythm game again

honestly bandori was just not fun for me. when pjsekai came out globally i was so happy because it’s so fun. the songs are super enjoyable to play because the mapping is actually good. and the covers are way better, in my opinion. i personally don’t like bandori’s use of different instruments. also, pjsekai has the original songs and not just the covers. i also love vocaloid with all my heart so project sekai was automatically better for me, lol.
Ngl same some songs are nice with new instruments but some are not the best in my opinion tho I really love bang dream and I'm getting better at it

What version do y’all like I like the cover better in my opinion
For Rettou Joutou I think the Bandori cover is really well done, but for Dramaturgy I will always prefer Eve's voice... The cover in Proseka is alright, but Bandori's changes aren't in my taste.
imo bandori puts more effort into their covers by actually adjusting/making their own instrumental to fit the band/characters covering it instead of just changing the vocals and i like that (ex. asu no yozora). but proseka covers tend to be more fun to play
nevertheless nothing beats RAS' rettou jottou imo.
the main difference is that they rearrange the whole instrumentals for bandori because they're meant to be actual bands performing the songs so bandori has that extra layer of effort put into it whereas in project sekai it's purely vocal covers but personally most of the time i prefer the original producer's arrangements (except for some old songs like miku miku ni shite ageru), the changes made for bandori don't really suit my taste so i enjoy playing songs in project sekai the most and in terms of human vocals i'm so deep into utaite that i already have a favorite performance for a majority of the songs that get covered in both games, i'm way too biased, and usually producers/lyricists that have their own singing careers perform their own songs the best imo (eve, balloon, mikitoP, mafumafu, reol, etc + i'm dragging ikura in here bc of yoru ni kakeru) especially when it comes to eve sogs, his style feels way to unique and every part of his music goes perfectly together so when his voice is missing it feels somewhat incomplete, idk how to explain it but as much as i love amatsuki's and soraru's dramaturgy covers for example i always have to listen to eve's og afterwards to feel whole

though i can agree that sekais charts are better, i feel like bandori has a much better look. the gameplay in sekai looks foggy to me compared to bandori, which looks extremely polished. I still love both games, but i feel like bandori is much more professional than sekai.

Bandoris community ruined the game for me. I wont let prosekais ruin this game for me cause nene is in it and I love her. I also just think hatsune miku games are really polished

maybe unpopular opinion but proseka > bandori in both charting and covers. prsk maps are easier for me to read, esp sliders when compared to bandori's sliders which are transparent to an annoying degree, and the screen overall feels a bit too busy and distracting for me. and when it comes to covers, some bandori ones don't sound very good 😅 sometimes it's the vocals, sometimes its the instrumental changes they make in the covers. i know it's supposed to be like the bands are actually playing them, but too often the changes make the song sound way too different or they make the feel/meaning of the song sound different from how it's intended to be. prsk keeps the right moods of the songs, and i think the songs assigned to each group in prsk make more sense than some covers in bandori

バンドリは譜面の配置は易しいけど判定ガきついので特に順位が決められないのでは？という考えです
I like prosekai a lot more then bandori since it’s more smooth than bandoris because the notes don’t immediately just attack you (what i mean is they don’t speed at you like they would with bandori). Also on prosekai it’s a lot easier to fc and complete harder songs since bandoris notes are so fast. Bandoris song backgrounds are a lot more distracting than prosekais. I don’t know if u can turn them off but personally I couldn’t. This is just my personal preference.
You can currently disable several settings that end up distracting you! You can use "light mode" for example, and reducing the brightness to 30% makes it much more comfortable to play.
i personally dont like that bang dreams doesnt match eves scale for dramaturgy while proseka is much closer in pitch/tone (idk which is the right tone)
But vocal wise Ran and Kasumi are better than Ichika and Miku TBH. Also Bandori's covers sound different due to the song being arranged in a way to fit the band's personality, which makes the covers unique. In the case of Afterglow's Dramaturgy a couple of Rock elements are added.
Honestly some of the cover in Bandori is to fast or to slow sometime and to rock for some reason
