Brad has to be focused on winning conference titles and tournament success. In today’s college basketball landscape you do that primarily with staying experienced with proven players. You can still try to bring in prep talent to develop… knowing you may lose 50+% of them at some point. Sucks for sure, but this is NIL/portal era he is trying to win in and I think he is navigating it pretty well. Certainly better than Izzo and most other coaches in Big 10.

Nailed it. His job is to win. He figured out freshmen don’t win games. If Calipari couldn’t do it with the recruiting he did at UK nobody can. You still need to build relationships with prep players even if it’s for down the road scenarios. Look at Boswell. Chose AZ right out of a reclass and has returned to UI. That connection was established years ago. The portal giveth. The portal taketh away. 😂

Good to hear. Just can't understand how "the program" will have continuity if maybe 80% of the team is or will be gone.

Love Brad but 17:32 is definitely a "pause." Surprised media kept their composure and didn't burst out laughing!

There is most likely plenty of talent that have come here as illegals. 26 States population they're at least top level basketball players to be found. 😂 It's imperative to look under every Rock😂

we've already rode this pony once why bring him back . He ducked out on us once what makes you think he won't do it again. We could have done better IMO. I'll give him 2 years and he'll be gone AGAIN...

    Underwood still selling..
There’s no more culture, fit ,loyalty nor hard work reward for any player under this staff..
When you get new7-8 players a year that’s out the window…

clueless I see. NIL and portal are to cause. Don't blame him for that. He is playing the system how it is set up. But, Coleman stayed four years. Goode for example realizes the writing on the wall, he can only shoot threes. Can't guard, dribble, rebounds average....thats just how it is.

Forget loyalty for hard work brad lost that when the portal started the mass exodus of players for nil. Brad has no loyalty. It's a new team every year it's a joke.

      I wouldn't trust brad if I was a recruit.

Brad is a terrible X and O coach, he needs to get much better.

Three B1G titles, three consensus All-Americans, more wins in the past five years than any B1G coach, 29 wins in 23-24... it doesn't happen by accident. This narrative about him being a great recruiter but a lousy game coach is utter nonsense, as are those who espouse it.

@@johnwalker4213 it is what it is. He is a great recruiter and motivator - but he is not as willing to adapt in game. Sometimes it is hard to switch gears in game - I get it - for offense.. However he does need to change on defense. If things do not work, mix it up , change it , try to play match up zone or full court press etc. I do not mind the defensive scheme of allowing tough 2 and block easy lanes or 3. Players do need to execute that though. However change up in defense is something he really needs to adapt

@@sdmarathe I don't think you often have a roster at the college level that allows it. Versatility is a coaches dream
