For those who don’t know, this song was released as a single in honor of the life of LaShawn Daniels. Daniels was a Grammy-winning icon in the world of gospel/contemporary songwriting and a beloved soul who tragically lost his life in September. The song was originally a demo that had only been recorded and performed at Elevation Church, likely to be released in the next project or album that Daniels was working on with Elevation.

Thank you for the history behind this song. I first heard it the night before they opened Elevation Greenville for the first time in Greenville, SC. I was one of the ones hired to help decorate for the opening. I had never heard the song before and the only part I remembered as they were playing it was the hook, "You never lost a battle." I've been looking for this song since October and only found it today. Every time I searched Never Lost A Battle some other song would come up. Thank you so much for posting this. It's on my repeat list for life.
This song touches me so much. These past couple of weeks have been rough for me, watching my mom in and out the hospital, but I remember the other week being at a red light, and just crying out to God, to heal my mom body, and now my mom is back on her feet working, and healthier than ever before. God is so good, he never lost a battle, and once we see that, we (including me) will start to trust him 100% with our lives. I love y’all. Great song Elevation, as always 😊🙏

And he can do all things negatively like to be able to never lie (it's omnipotence).... That he can't lie means he's able to do all things even not lying....if he could lie ,he could not be said to be able to tell the truth for example.... So not lying doesn't diminish God's omnipotence ,it affirms it!

Months before the death of my sister, this song and version became an anthem for her. When she was on her sick bed I played the song for her and she testified how the song got her through medical doctor licensure exams up until she got a job as a medical doctor. As we listened to the song on her sick bed I told her the song would also get her through the sickness. But alas dear little sister you went to be with the Lord as a 23 year old medical doctor on 24th August 2020 with such a great future ahead. I love you always little sister. I don't understand but I will keep on declaring that Jesus is still showing up at every tomb of every Lazarus. We will see you again, my one and only sister. Mum, dad and us your brothers will continue serving this God until we meet again Dr. Abigail Mulenga.

My dad was admitted to the hospital last month due to fighting covid-19. I immediately turned to this song for the reminder that God will always come through but sometimes it’s not in the way we expect... my dad lost his fight within days of being admitted to the ICU. I guess it was his time to go be with the Lord and if that’s not enough to give me peace, I’m not sure what is.
