I was driving a Mack 18 speed tri-plex transmission that had 3 gear levers every day when I got out of school at 12 noon on the DCT work program. I was delivering feed to chicken houses and loved it and it still brings a smile to my face at 62 years old today. Love your vids, new subscriber here :)
Ive seen a truck set up like yours in South America..How they loaded was..tied the cable to a large tree..threw the cable over the rear bar and then back to log..pulled the truck up and the log zipped right on up..there definitely was a sweet spot to how far back on the log the choker was..I would imagine this method would work on your snatchblock..just couldn't go as far up as a round bar..Ehh..probably wouldn't be good on the clutcj but itd be a good video..lol
I cut my teeth on an old Chevy 3 on the tree. Liked to hang up between 1st and 2nd. In high school I hauled short pulpwood with a old 52 dodge 1 ton truck. Also worked for my dad hauling pulpwood in an old 5 ton Ford. Both where 4 on the floor the Ford had a 2 speed rear end. Wish they would of had remote winches back in my day of hauling wood. Had to stand by the truck to work the winch. Had to fast on your feet too. Some times the wood would get hung up and when it came lose it would come flying at ya. The winches where hooked to the transmission and reduced in speed by sprockets. Y'all stay safe and God bless.
yourpartner looks a little cranky lol love your content god bless yall
