- Machinedramon's attack against the fractured DigiDestined had split them down further into two different teams.
The previous game episode focused on what happened to Kari, T.K. and Sora. This one is focused on what happened to Tai & Izzy.

Tai was trying to find the others, especially Kari, but Agumon was so exhausted with keeping up with the group...
As they progressed, Izzy & Tentomon also voiced complaints, but Tai was so focused on finding his little sister as soon as possible.
Izzy's open thoughts on Tai's stubborness with listening to him almost led to another fight from him, but then...
...It turn out that Tai was hearing someone coming their way, and wanted Izzy to just PRETEND to fight with him so that their Digimon can easily ambush and attack this mysterious enemy.
...And then from there, it turned out to be Andromon. He's trying his own hand at fighting against Machinedramon and his forces, so Tai & Izzy decided that they should team up.

This is for a very short time that Andromon will be Support party member. You'll only really get to use him for random enemies that you choose to fight.
That's because... soon after this teamup, they encounter Machinedramon, himself. Andromon decides to take him on by himself while Tai & Izzy continued their search for Kari and the others...
And then once you go backwards to the Save Point, you'll find them!
But now it's time to go forward again to help Andromon fight Machinedramon!

Andromon tried his best, but he was just not strong enough to even stand a chance at defeating Machinedramon.
Tai & Agumon returned to the fight with more allies at their side this time.
That's when Kari summoned her own Numemon friends to help out... only for them to fall even harder than Andromon as Machinedramon kills them all.
The Light from Kari's heart called out for the killed Numemon one last time... This light resonated the most with Agumon...
Suddenly, Agumon regained all of his lost strength, enough to not only Warp Digivolve to WarGreymon once more, but also feel even more powerful than usual in that form, giving him enough power to take on Machinedramon all by himself!

Of course, the game won't acknowledge this, as it probably would've made the resulting fight against Machinedramon much harder.
Respect the use of Buffs and Debuffs. How many more times will I have to say that, here?!
I really wish I had finished this fight with WarGreymon's Dramon Killer attack, as that is the exact move he used to kill him in the anime.

And thus... the menancing Mugendramon was no more... and so, too, was his mechanical fortress.
The city was finally liberated, and Kari wanted to create new graves for the Numemon that tried their best to protect her after she saved them from WereMonzaemon.
3 Dark Masters down. Now all that left was their leader, the strongest of the four: Piedmon...
