I always love the cursed creations. The fact that he probably just has these creepy, highly-detailed sculptures laying around his house gives me enough serotonin to make it through my day.
@@chubbyanimalenthusiast70 How did you know? I could've just really liked buff barney
@@buffbarneystan3280 because I watch them and it’s gone down in recreo history (and they used that extract image)
I love how Adam claims he's lazy, but then makes creations this terrifyingly detailed. Often, no less
Um, ya, *thats* artist lazy.. I mean, my pfp that took 7 days is lazy too
This reminds me of Will McDaniel trying fruits from other dimensions… still sends shivers down my spine thinking about it!
9:27 I love the slightly high pitched "Why?!" of Adam's. It was such a mood! Made my day. Thanks Adam.
I didn’t know Adam had a girlfriend. She must be happy with all of her honey’s creations.
"Boneless berries" actually sent a shiver down my spine.
Yeah, especially because it insinuates other fruit and veg have skeletons 😱
love how he not only designs them, but even gave the bananagorgon lore and backstory, now if only we could get a sculpture of the bananaloaf beast
Imagine just waking up and thinking "I'm gonna spend 20 hours of my day literally making just a terrifying bowl fruits that otherwise could be sold for 100$!"...
I say that's a deal.
@@venigon3536 your comment apparently translates to “and it is”, which is a response that still fits the original post somehow.
Those highly detailed fruits would easily trigger your nightmares.
I always wondered how creepy Vecna would look as a cursed fruit.
Do you mean as a next-time idea or are you calling the Demogorgon Vecna-
@@annoyingkittycat6449 Not sure if you are talking to the me or the OP, but I meant as a next-time idea.
I hate how the banana genuinely looks real “other than the mouth”
Lol that’s embarrassing for him and you… you don’t get bananas with mouths lol. I guess your just uncultured…. /j
Imagine if you just walked into someone's house and then you saw this sitting on their coffee table and you're like oh that's a nice fruit bo....
The fact that he doesn’t complain about how hard it is to build those structures makes it fun to watch
That apple is somehow incredibly beautiful and absolutely horrifying - the combination that makes this channel great
Adam/north of the border: I like to make tiny nerdy things also Adam/north of the border: *proceeds to make unholy fruits from the deepest pits of hell*
These are common fruits found in help often enjoyed by demons as snacks and hated by sinners as they are used as a torture method
11:16 has to be my favorite part of this whole video, the way the beat matches up with it and everything! Keep up the great work!
Oh hell yeah, Jack Jack! He's the one that got me more into the creepy and creative side of model and diorama building on TH-cam! Favorite people to watch of this "genre" is you, Jack Jack, and Thalasso hobbyer!
I’m actually so happy you went with a Granny Smith instead of a traditional red apple, because I love the idea of a Grandma Apple being like “come here, sonny!” And then opening its mouth to reveal that monstrosity 😂😂
Honestly I’m more afraid to be a banana split or eaten by strawberries than apples
I thought it was normal grapes until he said
“If I don’t want my grapes to dry out, I should probably add eyelids”
I actually want something like this as a table decoration. The exterior of the banana is really damn convincing too!
I'd love to see you have a alien fruit and possessed vegetable show down with Will Mcdaniels !
Bananas are triploids meaning they have 3 pairs of chromosomes and also means their fruit is in 3 parts. So technically your banana is not botanically correct when dissected into 4 like that. However since this is a monsterous banana I am willing to make the exception. Overall amazing work as always Adam thanks for the weirdly satisfying/horrific sculptures
That's how you tell the difference between a banana and a bananagorgon!
False
I have peeled bananers in 4 peels before
His Bananagorgon is anatomically correct
@@venomfan2020 you can peel a banana to have as many parts as you want but what I’m talking about is the actual white fruit of the fruit. They usually split into 3 sections. Next time you have a banana cut a small circle from it and then press it in the center. Usually it wants to split into 3 or it’ll just smush
As an eye doc, I’m qualified to tell you the grapes look great and horrifying lol
fun fact, here in Brazil we have a fruit called "guraná" and they look like an eye cluster
I love how the apple is like venom, and the banana is like a demogorgon
love the weird demogorgon banana! however i dont wanna imagine what it would feel like to bite into a fruit with teeth in it
I like how you ask "why" in a "surely it's cute" kinda way 🤣
I keep coming back to this video. There's something so uncanny about all of it that I just.... I want them all sooo much! I have so many favorite creations of yours, but these little guys are something that I know would look *great* with the aesthetic I have at home, so I guess that's why I'm so in love with them. It's all about me wanting them all in my slightly creepy home. Keep doing you! You're amazing and an inspiration.
5:19. The leafy green part you usually see at the top of a strawberry is actually a proboscis the creature uses to catch prey before consuming them.
wow! what a normal bowl of fruit! looks do tasty and not at all like something i see under my bed at night
Bro ur pfp looks like the thing i saw under my bed last night, it tried to kill me…
@@NorthoftheBorder everybody know fruit is perfectly ripe to eat when it tries to eat you back
@@red_weed exactly the teeth add a nice crunch to any fruit
In my experience, when your fruit grows teeth it is better in pies and crumbles. Eyeball grapes are fine to eat on their own, but they squirt everywhere like tomatoes.
I want to appreciate how this dude gave all unique yet horrifying eyes to 20 clay grapes
There's at least one blank eyeball at 11:54 lol I'm guessing he didn't paint the ones that would be turned back anyway.
is your banana free this weekend?
I don’t know how to perceive that information in a dirty way, or a dirtier way
9:11 What?! We appreciate the drool and think it was the best part 😺
I remember watching Adam's Gastly, Haunter and Gengar video thinking "wow this guy is very talented" and thinking his channel was about sculpting Pokemons. What a mistake that was
Oh no, things get..weird....here. embrace the insanity....before the insanity embraces you
My introduction to the channel was the snake with a human hand as a tongue and a pool monster, and I still wasn’t prepared for all this lmao
@@alteregobruh lmao, it seems to just get worse each video, but I enjoy for some reason
@@alteregobruh this was my official "Thanks, I hate it" moment on this channel. I'll never be able to look at grapes the same again
This cursed fruit bowl is like a perfect mix of Will McDaniel’s alien/possessed fruit videos and Omega Mart Lemons, with a touch of that classic NOTB Jank™ But seriously, I love this. Great work!
came here BECAUSE i thought it was will's video. staying because this guy is unhinged in the best way possible
If Will McDaniel saw this, he would be proud.
3:07 the way he casually says "Apple Mouth" like it's normal
Honestly, I'd love to see a part two of this where we see the "Banana Loaf Beast" as a cross section with a mini Bananagorgon on the inside.
This is next level insane! I love that they’re not attached to the bowl, watching you pour the eyes, I mean grapes, in was funny and super creepy. I think this is my favourite one you’ve done and that’s a super high bar!
My art teacher is a big fan of you along with me and we tend to geek out about your creations. About a year ago he made a bunch of monster food based off this video, he made a burger, fries, onion rings, mustard and d ketchup, and a pickle. They are all fully painted and all I can say is that he is an incredibly talented artist along with his wife who works in the class next to his and I think it’s really sweet. This year is an art class my friend was in with him they made clay food monster and the creations the other class made were all so cool and creepy. He’s in the process of making more like boneless chicken with eyes and a chicken sandwich with chicken beaks in the chicken trying to escape and it’s so cool.
Amazing paint job mate. especially that banana was realistic as hell (literally 😆)
They almost look real until you notice the eyes and teeth. I thought there were real grapes with the fake ones in the glamour shots until I realized they were all fake.
I like to think North of the Border keeps these as a centerpiece at a table somewhere to creep out guests
Great work, terrified as always
Imagine you go to eat a tasty looking grape and it ends up being a hard clay eyeball
I loved the glamour shots in this one, getting the perspectives where it looks like a normal apple before panning to the other side; the grapes display editing was creative as well.
I would like a continuation of this 'turning normal things into disturbing creatures who are basically all month's series please... But what next? Craft items? More food? Raw veggies? I think different chocolate bars would be cool.
“I like to make tiny nerdy things” proceeds to make an eldrich god
I just love how this channel has progressed from "here is a delightful diorama of Avatar Aang" to Adam manifesting in physical form the eldritch horrors that haunt his psyche and are slowly eroding his mind.
This style reminds me of that guy that talks about how to make dishes from space foods that look like normal food but are sentient and freaky looking
The level of detail in these sculptures and the amount of work that goes into them is absolutely staggering.
Adam saying “wormy dealy” gives me life.
Can we just take a second to appreciate the editing in this video. Absolutely fantastic.
Adam you absolute freak! Love your creations. The grapes reminded me of Guaraná fruit! It’s a fruit we have here in Brazil and it’s absolutely terrifying. You should definitely look it up! It’s very good inspo
Short story time: I recently discovered your channel and have subsequently been obsessively watching your videos. I take the bus to and from school and I typically watch 2-3 of your videos a day on the trip there and back (it's a long bus ride). I was getting very sad that I was nearing the end of your library. All this is to say, thank you for turning me on to Jack Jack! I'll be now going back and forth between the two, you guys are some truly talented folks and your years of practice really shows through in these videos. I love what you guys do! I hope one day to add one of your sculptures to my shelf :) keep doing what you do!
North of the border is almost definitely my favourite channel. Whenever I get bored I just go and get a snack and spend some time watching these awesome sculperes come to life,
When you start coloring the grapes, they look like guaraná fruit, very common and loved in Brazil (also, kinda scary)
This thing looks like a product of a LSD induced nightmare. It’s amazing. I’ve noticed you’ve started really leaning into making creepy and cursed models and I love it. Would love to see a house tour at the next subscriber milestone so we can see where you’ve put all your horrifically awesome sculptures dotted around your home .
That's why art exists. Art is designed to inspire others to create similar pieces and then it keeps getting bigger and bigger as it repeats
the fruit bowl is a classic kind of still-life painting, it's contents are welcoming and bring a sense of homeyness and calm. That's how most fruit bowl artwork is, though there are exceptions
This is probably one of my favorite projects he made! I love the demogorgon banana! I just love the idea of demon fruit that bites back.
Wow, never knew you could make a banana look like "The Demigorgon" from Stranger Things...
well, it already kind of does.
That is absolute GENIUS! And delightfully DISTURBING! First time watching this channel, and I couldn't have asked for a better introduction,. Thanks North of the Border ❤
“And like any good banana it needs a skeleton.”
Favorite line ever.
Little did they know there is indeed a fruit that looks like an eye and is creepy as hell because...well nature.
Look for guaraná fruit, behold the creepyness and question nature at the same time
Wow the ones that are like clumped together that look like that have multiple connected irises are the most creepy
There is a South American fruit that kinda looks like the grapes you made. It's called guaraná and It is often compared to eyeballs
Cant believe its been a year. Watched this when it was new, and learned about JackJack from this video. Loved him ever since. Cant believe how far you've come since then
But like seriously, if you or someone else just had this in their kitchen, it would be so funny. Someone just goes to grab an apple and seeing a venom tounge
That would be 100% displayed in the middle of my dining room table
I paused and zoomed for the face reveal, and can I just say, you do really well for a guy without any facial features. I’m amazed you can even record the voiceovers, let alone see what you’re doing 😂
I've had a fascination with bowls of ceramic fruit my entire life. This is my favorite thing you've done.
11:14 loved that edit 🔥
For a man who doesn’t plan, your projects are bloody amazing
"Mom, can we get more food at the store?"
"We have food at home"
The food at home (MMM SCRUMPTIOUS CLAY)
This turned out sooo damn good. The banana is my favourite, the texture on the peal is amazing. What a fantastic blend of horrifying and apealing.
You've combined two of my favorite things. Fake foods and horror. Love it!
It’s like a realistic cake, but it won’t go off. You just have so much talent bro, everything you make is so amazing
Oh i looove the grapes. They actually look really nice. Id imagine they would pop! When you bite down.
The “blinking” edit on them was 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
@@CL.123 💕💕 yes eyeballs is an acquired taste.
Try a fish head soup! My favourite is called
Paksew (spelling idk sorry)
i would imagine the texture to be similar. But a little less cooked so there would be a pop. And then of course a sour grape flavour.
🤗🤗🤗❤️❤️❤️
If you like them, you'd love a Brazilian fruit called Guarana! Look it up, it's beautifully eerie
What makes it eerie to me, is the fact that plant cells lead to fruits and plant stuff being very rigidly shaped, rather than forming fold, like animal cells, so this mix of rigid and fleshy is kinda neat.
Will McDaniel would be proud of this.
This needs to be shown to children everywhere. You know, so they’ll eat more fruit.
Gotta eat those fruits before they can pupate into their next life stage, obviously.
@@redwitch12 I fear to imagine what their next life stage might look like...
I love that one of the first projects teachers give you in school regarding clay is to make a piece of fruit. Here is the same project elevated and I love it, so wonderfully executed and creepy ^^ Well done!
Really wish we could paint this still life in class instead of boring pots and mugs lol
I enjoy when you make things you seem to be more genuinely interested in then whatever you think the algorithm will like. hope you make more!
nice catch giving the grapes eyelids to keep them from drying out in the oven; creepy raisins really wouldn't have the same effect
This is, hands down, the coolest thing I've ever seen. I would definitely fill a decorative fruit bowl with these little beasts!
This is probably my favorite thing you've ever made, would look great as a table decoration haha.
Van Gogh before the whole eat thing....or half ear thing... nice Adam I love it
These look museum quality. Like, I would expect to see these on display at the proper fine art museum in a big city. My one tip is that strawberries are whiter towards the top, with a hint of yellow on the transition to red.
question: what exactly do you do with all your finished projects? do you have that one room that's slowly being taken over by clay monstrosities?
He probably has that cupboard from The Indian in the Cupboard, making all these horrific things come to life. Why do you think he was so quick to get rid of the minions? Not even buff Steve could fight them off. Hulk Yoda maybe...
He’s said in a comment before that he just throws them away but I think he’s recently started to do giveaways for some
I believe I heard him say in one video that he sells them all through his Patreon. You know, to spread the nightmares out.
@@daisymay6505 he was probably joking. He’s an artist he probably sells everything
He said on Patreon that he used to give a lot of them away. But now he’s moved to a bigger flat, so has more room to keep most of them.
This just makes BugSnax even more terrifying
The apple being a granny smith is scarier than everything else on the cursed fruit bowl
This might be my favorite of your creations yet. The textures are CRAZY GOOD. Like the inside of the banana peel is spot on, and the dustiness of the grapes is amazing and the apple skin has the perfect amount of shininess. Good shit dude
There's a Brazilian fruit called "guaraná" that actually looks like eyes
I was going to comment exactly that! When I saw the thumbnail I thought he was going to make some guaranás
You should put the fruit in a bowl with all the monstrous angles facing away from the door so when a guest tries to eat one they'll get a scare.
This is probably one of the most details and realistic things Adam has made, except for the hole eyeball and mouth thing.
I think secretly, Adam likes to make horrifying creations...He knows his audience well
A wise man once said:"I don't have time to set any fires today, cuz I'm gonna be busy making fruit!"
