I love this. Such an elegant use of the simplest tools in card magic, demonstrating that magic isn't in the things you do but in the way you present it. All my own tricks are the same way, keeping everything limited to the easiest sleights and misdirection so I can focus solely on the connection with the participant or audience. Because after all, the real actual magic happens inside their hearts and minds.
Love this! If you could know the participant's star sign prior to the performance, they could even find their own sign without ever telling you

OMFG! I had chosen 5???!!?!! LMAO!!
Well, I had some fun with this. So, instead of using post it notes or cards, I printed the signs and cut them off. Then, I grabbed paper, cut it in 12 parts (each part was big like a normal playing card). I glued the signs into the pieces of paper AND I... Plasticized them!! So they're like cards! Instead of using paper which is uncomfortable, I made it "high quality". But, since I cut them off it was kinda hard to do the double lift without flashing, so I've decided to change that and do a cull force instead! The rest I can do it just fine, the shuffle, the controls, forces, dealing... Everything works amazing! Thanks Jay for sharing! Gonna be doing this a lot! This has to be in my top-10 favorite tricks!!

The counting down as an example is pretty evil and i love it. But i feel like it might be a bit stale or hard to do if the person choses a large number (10,11). It kinda breaks the rythm of you speech. Any idea to circumvent that ?
Once you know the number you could shuffle the top. rd to that position.
Hopefully the player wont pick 12, if not abit awkard to count down 12 cards, which is the entire stack.

Yk what would add another layer of astonishment to this...never asking the spectator for their sign. If you could somehow get a friend of theirs to tell you the spectator's sign before the performance, you could do this without apparently having the knowledge of the sign.
If you ask a friend just find out the spectator's birthdayhday not their sign. That way if the friend watches you perform this, they will be less likely to know how you knew the spectator's sign.

Great video. Maybe this is a good subtlety, but when I use a countdown force, I always like to do a quick false cut as I hand the cards to the spectator lest anyone catch on to the force.
I like that idea.
