I Saw a Hellscape is an immersive video installation piece mixing a multitude of mediums creating a visual and auditory experience. Three video sources help to open the hellscape with monitors and a projector creating a unique composition with various ways to witness the nightmarish expedition. When approaching, the viewer is met with the “dial-a-dimension” screen which makes the trip possible. Just below you will find the departed objects and human waste in the sacrifice plate where others have attempted to appease the entities in hopes of crossing over into the hellscape. Will you be granted access? Once the sacrifice is approved, you will be thrust into the hellscape and guided through a new dimension of hellish wonder. This work brings to life a whole new world where exhibition goers can see the entities from the artwork around you go about their perpetual eternities. The composition of video, audio, unearthly voices and the objects therein the apparatus of I Saw a Hellscape make this a truly unusual yet remarkable innovation. “When working on these new pieces, I constructed these worlds, these beings; they had to be brought to life, said Perfectum. I wanted to push things further with the interactive nature of this piece. To not only wrap the audience in the video and audio I created, but to make a scene with physical objects as well. I think it needed to go this far to make this looping narrative interesting enough for me to attempt it. When you’re creating something that is this unique conceptually, there isn’t an instruction manual. That’s how you know you’re exploring new ground and I revel in that challenge. I try to let my ideas lead me to where they need to go and worry about the technical aspects last. I want my work to be displayed and viewed without limitation or compromise and this piece is a huge celebration of that.” After endless hours put in, testing and extreme technical challenges;

I truly appreciate it! I've had multiple people tell me they watched with headphones and that's probably the best way for this be even more immersive online.
