Not gonna lie , this design keeps becoming good after looking at it more and more. One thing is that many people say they dislike this design because they heard someone else telling that the new looks are bad and the old was better. But deep down they may like this. People shouldn't be scared of expressing their opinion if they like it. Also the interesting fact is that 80% of the people complaining, haven't even owned or yet rode the old 390 for more than 50kms (my bs3 rc390 just completed 41000kms so i know how bad it is in terms of comfort, only does track days).
I agree with you, mate. At first glance, it looked horrible compared to the old one. I'm planning to get a RC390 myself as my first bike. I was contemplating hard between the older one and the new one because of the looks but the new one has better technology than the old one. And the dash on this is way better than the old one, imo. And yes, the more i look at pictures of the bike, the more i think that it actually looks kinda okay. Maybe it'll never beat the older look, but it ain't that bad.

This headlight looks good in duke series, but for rc they should really redesign a new headlight which will look much sportier & which will also provide good visibility at night.

I like the old headlight design, but it was not iconic KTM. This looks more like KTM's supersports of past. This follows KTM's design sheet. The OG RC 390 did not.
Many people don't like its new front headlights looks...including me, old front looks is much better. KTM need to redesign its front headlights, as it's public demand.
It's like they just added a bulkier fairing to the duke headlight. Those indicators look forced to fit. This is overly done really, what happened to minimalism!

@@beepool4849 kind of wrong, the front part is “inspired by the RC8” hence the shape of the windscreen and the light. Unfortunately they don’t make headlights like that so they just decided to use the old duke’s headlights. It’s not bad, it’s the kind of design that tends to grow in you more and more, once you realize that that’s the kind of headlight that gives u the best aero. Aggressive lines are long gone for design and it’s more about smooth flowing now. RC’s “aggressiveness” was what was holding the design back.
They did really good on suspension,weight reduce,sexy seat and a new upgraded tft display but don’t like a blonde front look need more aggressive like a previous one 😢

@@darksoul4721 a higher terminal speed of 10km/h is nothing. I'd rather have better looks. You need to keep in mind it takes forever to reach top speed on this bike so aerodynamics is negligible. More of a marketing point than real track or road riding advantage. It's ugly. I loved the design of the previous RC. I'm a Kawasaki fan but undeniably the previous RC had the sharpest look in it's class. Now it looks disproportionate and ugly.

I would say it's a way of ktm to bring in more business, by making things so fragile and delicate, they will surely earn a errand for repairs and spares. I truly feel that this bike is not built that strong as the last one.

Love the styling update!!! Not too sure about the clear front......I'd be worried after a few months of road grime, dust, and bugs it's gonna be scratched and beat up. A few layers of ceramic coating or a clear PPF will be a must!!!

TFT display is boss and a game-changer. Go with Led type headlights and more of a racing front end = headlight as small as possible. Maybe even make a optional (racing) front with a super trick headlight. -Someone get this man a towel --> He is sweating all over my bike.

The headlights look too wide and weird, KTM should rethink that, it was RC's signature style just like duke has its. Other than that the whole design looks good 👍

as an owner of a 2017 rc390 i can safely tell you the older design looks better than this new design
Actually it's the colour ! This Atlantic blue one looks beautiful but the colour options on the new rc 200 like the white Orange one look bad

It looks amazing but the tyres look a little slimmer, gives it a more road bike look which contradicts it's racey feel.
Have a look at Moto3 racing tyres, they look slimmer too. It's not a 200HP bike so it does not need wide tyres, it would make it slower.
