@@FloridaCrackerKustoms thank you. I've spent hours researching this stuff and watching vids by tuners to try to piece this together. I hope ACES makes something thorough and official on this soon... but my guess is that they don't want to take away business from their authorized tuners.
Gonna give this a shot in running a killshot not using timing have it on a 302 with 5 speed should it work the same? Just smooth it out? I've only put about 100 miles on it sofar
Yup... a Ford 302 with a 5 speed is the same procedure. The only issues people seem to be having with stick shift cars is popping out of the exhaust when they come off of the freeways at high speeds and either shift down or go to neutral. There is a process to fix that but I don't know it since I don't have a stick. If that happens to you you might be able to find the answer to what graph to modify in the ACES EFI Owners and Techs facebook page. Remember... you need to increase or decrease whatever VE table you chose when you set up the Killshot. Once you've added or removed the correct amount of fuel to mirror your Learn Table... THEN smoothen it out. When you're done just zero out the Learn table and start fresh so you're not teaching it "bad manners". Even with 100 miles on it the Learn Table should be able to show you how it's working. Good luck and DON'T FORGET... make a saved copy of your current tune before messing with it... in case you mess something up.
Great video, I got the killshot ultra kit on Christmas day sale. Killshot, 255 inline, dizzy, cdi, 7" screen, PDM, and air cleaner. Enjoying watching how to mess with this stuff waiting for mine to arrive! Subbed looking forward to more videos
@@TheUnshapedFang Wow… you don’t play around! You went all in. Good luck with it and I hope it works for you as well as it does for me. Something that surprises me though is that you went with the Killshot and not the Deuces Wild. The inline 255 is a small engine for the Killshot. The Killshot moves 1000 CFM and that might be a bit much for you… though… that is the whole point of EFI… the tune-ability. I’d love to see the straight 6 with a Killshot on it though. That should look crazy!
@@dc10tech911sorry, I should have been more clear. I’m getting the 255lph in-line fuel pump with all the other listed stuff. All of the is going on a 468 big block chevy for my 68’ C10
@@TheUnshapedFangOOOooooo… soooooo jealous. That makes a hell of a lot more sense. Great project. Will be interesting to see how you can keep the rear planted on a monster like that since it’s a pickup. Very nice!
The USB issue could be one of two things I've discovered, either its not formatted to fat32 (or might be ntfs, its been a few month) or it's above 32gb in size. The system won't read usb in either of those configurations. Nice video!
Holy smokes… It’s Mr 10mm himself! Love your channel bro. I find it fascinating how you’re working around all the hurdles to get it to run on a rotary! Incredible persistence man. Keep it up. I’m pretty sure that’s not it, though, when it comes to my USB problem. When I tried it, I followed Tim’s instructions on a vid he made on how to use the USB without a CAN cable. In his video he shows that the option is already there on the display even without the USB thumb stick installed. I asked ACES and they did confirm that old software on the older systems didn’t have that installed yet. I will, however, keep that in mind after I flash the firmware. I can only imagine how ticked off I would be if I went through all that and it still didn’t work and all it was was a file format issue or thumb drive size… so THANK YOU! Great info!
@dc10tech911 ohh jeez lmao thank you! I'm glad they got back to ya about that. Interesting it didn't have that programmed in in the really early models. I've been following your build for a long time lol keep up the good work! 😁
@@wheresmy10mm I’m honored you’re following it. I didn’t expect to have a single follower on my pisly little channel so I’m blown away to have a couple of hundred and a TH-camr with a few thousand having a look. Thanks. And if you catch me saying something incorrect… just let me know and I’ll fix it. I just want to share information that no one else seems to be sharing, not lead people down the wrong path. Keep your vids coming too.
Keep up the videos! They’re so incredibly helpful. Nobody is doing in depth videos on this system.
