- I wasn't actually going to make a video of these two, mostly because they break my heart so much but it was heavily requested I went for it.
With calzona, slexie are up there as my favourite greys couple I love them dearly and they deserved so so much better than what they got. And their journey was a huge rollarcoaster that should have got a happy ending.
this video is dedicated to my love chyler leigh and eric dane who portrayed this characters so perfectly that I love every part of them.

They did not dedicate a chapter as such but they did dedicate the chapter in which Meredith saves the cyclist who was run over because it reminded her of her little sister

the directors and producers worst mistake was killing off lexie, mark, and derek.
Worst mistake was prolonging the series this long. The actors wanted out so they either need to go or be killed. They could've had a more proper send off if the series ended earlier.
Lexie’s actress wanted to spend more time with her family, so she left, and so, they thought it would be perfect to kill off Mark with her. And Derek’s actor needed a timeout because of personal problems, but DAMN, they did his death so dirty 😭

@@sierrahart5164 Like, seriously. The way they killed off Derek was absolutely abhorrent. His was one of, if not the, worst death on the show. Lexie's and Mark's are just horrifically devastating, especially since they never had their chance.
I actually personally love how they killed George, they did him a lot of justice when they dedicated, I think, three episodes to how his death affected the cast, and his death was just so moving as well.

Y’all be saying Lexie is the purest character while in my opinion Mark seems like this damaged superficial person, but he’s literally one of the most selfless character on the show. His actions towards Lexie proves how much he wants her to be happy, even when he’s not with him.
Lexie wasn't even pure anyway. She was so incredibly kind though. Heather Brookes seems to fit that bill.

None in this show are pure at all but Lexie was a far tolerable person than most of them because she is basically a kind person but definitely nowhere near pure. Pure person is the one who never cheats, has total integrity both in emotional and physical matters and self-control. It's crazy how Mark went through the stages of grief. Denial: Initially he refused to hold Lexies hand. Anger: Mark getting frustrated because he can't lift the plane. Bargaining: Telling Lexie how they're going to get married. Depression: How Mark got depressed after Lexie died. Acceptance: Mark accepting Lexies death, because he knew he was going to be with her soon.
I never really thought of it in those terms but now that you mention it yeah he did.

I’m rewatching the season 5 where they are alive and where their relationship begins, and I just wanted them to be alive until today in the season 16. This was my favorite couple ever! I never loved a couple in grey’s anatomy than them. Later on, my favorite couple was Jackson and April. SAD STORY! Now it’s Amelia and Link. Let’s hope for, this time, things will be turned out okay

that bcoz mark's reason is just so unbelievable.it's not the same on when lexie went hardships, the cause is different. it's like u dream of building a family and happy ever after with that person but he is busy building it with others than her. and that what he has built has nothing connected to her.without understanding what it turns out, lexie could be suffer of living on his happiness with others while she might just eat herself the dream she always wants.but at one point she getting to understand him bcoz seeing him, now she truly understand the person mark can turn out to be, but everything is just too late. without plane crash, mark might possibly use his logic and just play safe to secure his happiness by choosing Julia. but he realized when lexie is dying, no logic is logic anymore. so he regretted everything of his mistakes.

MerDer broke my heart, but SLexie shattered it into pieces. That plane crash scene always brings tears to my eyes. I still imagine them having their own happy ending even if it's too impossible at this point.
the sad thing is lexie didn’t know that mark still loved her. mark didn’t show any affections towards her but i’m happy she spent her last moments with someone she loved.

I also mentally and physically gave up. They were my favorite couple and when they both died I literally bawled my eyes out. And yes he literally was so connected and in love with her, when he said he had 30 days and then pull the plug, he didn’t wanna suffer when she was no longer there for him to go back to. I think their storyline is my favorite thing and the best.

The only reason Lexie was killed off was because Chyler Leigh wanted to leave the show herself, and Shonda killed Mark off because she couldn't have him with anyone else, not because she wanted the characters gone

they could have ended the character's story line in some other positive way, just killing them off just seems a waste if u have given them such a beautiful story throughout the season
Shaelly Singh she killd them off rather than them just leaving, 1 because she was in the middle of residency and she really couldnt just leave. 2 because then fans would be asking and asking for chyler and eric to come back like people do for jessica and sarah and sara and many others, especially because lexie and mark were favorites to lots of people. i kinda wish they woulda been in a relationship before they died instead of ending them like lexie saying she loves him and him not having time to think and say it back before she died. but rip mark and lexie. its unfortunate they had to die so tragically.

Their story came to tragedies but it was so beautiful. They love each other so much that once Lexie died, Mark couldn’t walk the earth alone
