Wesak Day 2019 celebrations, Malaysia

Wesak day 2019 (2562 BE in Buddhist calenders) in Malaysia was celebrated on 19th May 2019. Many Buddhist temples will organize processions to share the joy of celebrations and to mark this eventful day. One of them is the Buddhist Maha Vihara temple located at Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur. In the procession, many floats were presented, featuring statues of the buddha and with monks offering their blessings to the crowds gathered. Many Buddhist organizations had also participated in the procession, holding lighted lotus flower candles as they marched along. The procession lasted approximately 4 hours and travelled along the major roads in Kuala Lumpur, before returning to the Buddhist Maha Vihara temple.
