I have bought a handful of the wonderful Schoenhut dolls from the USA over the last few years. They have such personality. My mother had one as her first doll in the 20s, so wish she had kept him. The original box is interesting, especially the statement that the doll is the cheapest on the market.
This talk is very informative. I've been making some Schoenhut Clown videos with clowns that my frined loaned me. I didn't know all of this information! Thank you!
I have a doubt. The Humpty Dumpty Circus dolls I've found in some antique shops have strings attached at the joints. Do the dolls that you show here work with the same system? Greetings and thank you.
I am waiting for my first Shoenhut doll to come in the mail. Does anyone know if sewing patterns exist for these dolls? I sew and, would love to creat a wardrobe for my new doll? I am expecting a 19 inch doll. Mr. Shoenhut had two factory locations in Philadelphia. The last one closed in the 1980-90s. I would love to see the archives on these dolls.
Thank you Mary Senko! I have learnt much about a doll I had never looked into before
You are so welcome

No they have spring joints hope that helps .
@@MichaelCanadas thanks for the reply. Are the Humpty Dumpty Circus figures in this video spring or elastic strings?
Elastic , spring was just used on the dolls .
@@MichaelCanadas thanks!
