Have you ever watched Matt’s videos??!! He would have looked at 2 games and asked for a price on it ALL. You would have gotten the $450 game and saved probably $44 because I’m sure she would have been happy with $100. I hope Matt gave you a stern talking to!
You know how when there's a big game on tv, in your neighborhood you can hear people shouting from several houses "GET THE BALL BLAH BLAH BLAH OTHER SPORTS THINGS"....I feel like that's what was happening on the internet tonight :-)

This is the most disturbing Reseller Sourcing Video that I have ever watched! I'm surprised I didn't have a heart attack! I would have offered a price and bought all of that video game stuff within 2 minutes of sight!!!
I agree, you gotta get that stuff "off the street" so to speak and into your ownership as soon as possible. As long as you haven't paid the owner yet its really up for grabs by anyone who wants it and has the will to get it.

As soon as you see that at least 1/2 of a table or bin are good, ask what they would take for the whole thing.
Most of the time they would be better off selling it all than to have you pick out the best items and are left with the unselllable items. Plus, like in this case, if you miss something, you have it! LOL
But it's how we learn RIGHT? 😊

@roseeckstein6534 that is the kind of stuff you don't take the time to look up. While you are looking it up, you risk another reseller coming along. If she would have just negotiated for all the gaming stuff, she would have had time to look more, plus she would have got the $400 game. Matt would have asked for a price in about a minute.
Lol you must not resell or have never been to garage sales in the last few years. With the amount of times I hear people ask for video games the moment they step foot out of there cars at all the yard sales I go to you would have a different mentality. Survival of the fittest when it comes to that category and it doesn’t favor the timid or passive reseller.

Congratulations on that great video game haul! You did so good. If I saw all those boxed games I wouldve just asked to do a bundle deal for everything. I figure the good ones would cover the not so good buys, and I would go through everything at home. But, honestly, I don't think you would have any real bad buys in that lot. Just curious why you didn't try to buy the lot of matchbox cars. Her prices were great, and there may have been a few great cars in there. Best garage sale I ever went to, the next week, they were GIVING AWAY EVERYTHING LEFT! I GOT A $2500 HUGE PAINTING! I KEPT IT BECAUSE I LOVED IT!! PLUS QUITE A FEW OTHER THINGS!! I got a 4ft phone chair with a drawer & door. You sat there when on the phone.
I've got a small telephone table with the seat i will be selling when I'm able to have a sale. Its been raining or 100 degrees here so haven't had a sale since May.
I would have blown my budget for the week at that sale. So many great items. On the game left behind….who knows, she may still have it.

Oh sweet Kayla, my anxiety is super high at all those Nintendo games. I would of bought everyone of them. The whole tote. I don't know anything about them but the sell prices are incredible. You still got some great deals. Love love your videos and I learn so much from you and Matt.
Love your disclaimer at the beginning! Too many people getting into the "picking" side business who don't understand it's not as easy as TH-cam video's make it look (they don't even see the picture taking, listing, packaging, etc). It would be awesome at the beginning of every video if people would post how many sales they hit and how many they actually found re-sellable items at. Nice scores!!! Wow

Exactly. I would’ve bought all the records and I asked for a lot price same way with these video games. I would’ve asked for a lot price if you don’t ask you don’t know if you can get it all they can do is tell you know and therefore if they tell you no pay the single price and go on. Old saying is close mouth don’t get fed.

I found out the hard way too Kayla. I gave my son all the game systems and cartridges that we had accumulated and he played them for a few weeks and posted them for sale. He sold everything for $400. He said mom I could have sold so many more. Now I know why now. He had four complete systems all the accessories and cartridges with the books....ugh! You still did great though.

Kayla, Kayla, Kayla....You've got me wanting to go and shop when I move into my new house. It's not finished being built until next April 2024. Now because of you I want to go look around and do this. Maybe not to sell but to look for neat treasures for my home. I'm 63 and retired post-operative nurse and my husband is recently retired prosecutor of 43 years. We love to travel to Australia for the winter and maybe if I get the courage I can sell some things to help in our travels.
