In this video I’m working out an exercise with UMMG in which I keep a left hand ostinato steady.
“Upper Manhattan Medical Group” was written by Billy Strayhorn, a renowned American jazz composer, pianist, and arranger. The song was first recorded by the Duke Ellington Orchestra in 1962.

Great Strayhorn tune. Then again, they all are. :) Zaccai, I'm reminded of why I subscribed to your videos in the first place. Your independence between hands is so enjoyable to watch and listen to. I was really digging your melodic lines on the two chord ostinato (especially after the melody around the 1:00-1:20 mark). Keep floating!
