As you mentioned, eve wanted the forbidden apple, and for psyque she is part of greek mythology and her story is that she had a lover who visited her every night but never allowed her to see his face, still she wanted to know his identity so much that she did what was forbidden and so who he was (it was cupid, the love god). Bluebeards wife also had this theme, as when she married Bluebeard he gave her everything one could possibly want on the condition that she never went into a specific room of the house, still she went into the forbidden room just to find in there all the remaining bodies of bluebeards previous wives that he killed when they entered the room. All the stories are about women that were forbidden from something but do it anyways, and the song aims to encourage women to do what they want instead of being fearful of the forbidden.
