  • In this special edition of ‘Desperate Housesitters’ we interview Geoff who highlights the issues with street dogs in Sam Roi Yot, Thailand. He explains the issues he and other volunteers face with taking care of up to 500 stray dogs in the local area. From feeding to vaccination, flea treatments to sterilisation, Geoff gives us insight into how a group of predominantly expats keep the dogs fit and healthy. In the video he talks about fund raising, this is a big challenge for expats in Thailand who are not allowed to receive funds despite paying for food from their own pockets. The Thai government does provide some support in the form of funding, but knowing how to access it can be challenging and often only native Thai people can find the pathway to the funds.
