The issue is that you can't fit barrels or tyres to a raft when it's beached. There's no room underneath. The raft has to be floating. Build it in the shallows. As long as the sails are down it ain't going anywhere. You could also start with a smaller raft for its maiden journey, and expand as you go from island to island. Note of warning... Drop boxes are pretty useless at the best of times, but on a raft they're complete trouble. Contents constantly washed out and into the sea. When carrying, make sure your cargo is well balanced - like you would with a road trailer - if not (again), trouble. I've watched a lot of people play this game, and I've never seen ANYONE suffer from sunburn. Don't mean it ain't gonna happen, but it must be rare.
