  • I have two sewing makes to share. I made a dress, New Look 6650, out of a really unique fabric. I also made a top, Simplicity 9645 . I added a pocket to the Simplicity top and made a few other changes that I share. I found a great stabilizing product that I will definitely use again, so I definitely made sure to stock up on stabilizer.

    Your white cover up throw for getting out the shower , and the other tops you made was nice too. What a creative green top with the mesh, very different, admirable as well. All of your clothing you creat and teach along with it, is just beautiful. As always, you go now, keep it going! Love it........... Aunt Irene

      Thank you, Myra. I’m ready to go to somebody’s spa in that white microfiber dress . So happy I finally found some fabric to match the mesh fabric, and I loved learning how to use a new product in the process.

    Wonderful top. You did a great job, so creative. I like the mesh pocket. You might look for a tutorial on French seams for future projects with finicky fabrics. Have a great week! :) Happy sewing.

    Stabilizer is definitely a must with mesh. I use the sticky tape water soluble stabilizer. I learned about it thru embroidery too! I LOVE your mesh top. It came out perfect as all your makes do!👏 But I'm in LOVE with your color block cable knit dress! Stunning! Have a great week! ❤❤

      Thank you so much. That stabilizer is a great product. I definitely think I am going to love the wash away one too. Whoever thought of that is a genius. Love how your embroidered items turn out. You do a wonderful job. Thanks again, Grace.

    Wow!! That mesh top came out perfectly. I'm so glad you got that mesh fabric out of your car, it was getting car sick 😅. What a great way to sew and teach....stabilizer will be on my list too. The bathing suit cover is darling too.
    Hope your serger is out of the hospital soon 😊
    Love ya girl ❤

      Hey!!! Oh, my goodness. I agree about the mesh fabric getting car sick. It was time. lol. I’m so glad to have learned about stabilizer. It was great to use and easy peasy. I think you’ll love it. Can’t wait to get my serger back. I miss it already. Thanks again.

    Your top is too cute and your modifications are spot-on! Yes, the sulky stabilizers are wonderful to have in your notions collection. I especially love the Totally Stable tear -away in black and white for buttonholes. The Solvy water soluble is thin and is also great when working with cutout fabrics and buttonholes on very thin fabrics. Thanks for sharing another great make, Manecoarse😊❤
    Edited to add: The Totally Stable tear-away can be used only in the buttonhole area if not interfacing a full facing of the garment.

      Thank you so much. I really appreciate the feedback on stabilizers. I love that there are many different ones and options available. Will definitely look into the one for buttonholes. Thanks again.

    Both makes are cute! I love your design for the green top. You have me thinking how cute (but useless) a mesh hood would be on it!😂

    • @Manecoarse
      @Manecoarse  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you so much. I think a hood would actually be cute on the mesh top, now that you mention it. I can picture it. I really love that idea. I wish I had thought of that!!

    i normally use tissue paper to stabilize difficult fabrics but I might have to try the stabilizer you recommended. Wash away seems much easier than picking out bits of paper.

    • @Manecoarse
      @Manecoarse  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I agree with you about the wash away stabilizer. Definitely much easier to use. I hope you try it. Thanks for watching.
