@@dfa9305Thanks, the better I'm getting the more work they are...ha. It is fun putting them together. There's so much to approve. Once I visit most the Ikon resorts I'll likely switch to an Epic pass.
@@KZ-yu4jz You're welcome. So many great places to visit. Woody's bar and staying in Basalt really was the hookup. I wish I'd eaten at Sam's on the mountains... Heard good things. Hope to get a video out on Ajax soon.
@@bluebirdski Sam's is really good, but so are The Alpin Room and The Cabin, You might look at the prices and say robruf go and f*** yourself. However, I had a friend who thought this way and he wanted to go on the cheap, so he went to Elk Camp Restaurant and he ended up spending just about the same amount as our sit down lunch. So , guess what happened the rest of the trip, he joined us for sit down lunches at The Alpin Room and The Cabin.
@@bluebirdski You should check out Sam's,, The Alpin Room, and The Cabin. They are all pretty decent, Sam's is pretty good, I have eaten there twice now, the views are excellent. They are all sit down restaurants, they are on the pricier side when you look at the menu at first. However, when you go to a sit down place such as Elk Camp and see the prices they charge, it all adds up to about the same amount. Would you rather be in a nicely decorated sit down restaurant with proper silverware and plates that also has a low noise level or would you rather be with a bunch of kids screaming and yelling about everything. I know which one I will chose all the time!
Aspen Snowmass is one of my favorite ski resorts also. my wife and I have a spreadsheet of every ski resort that we have visited. We rank Aspen first, followed by Beaver Creek, Telluride, Jackson Hole and Whistler/Blackcomb. It is a great all rounder and combining it with Aspen Highlands and Ajax, makes it everything you need in a ski vacation. You should try Lynn Britt Cabin (now just The Cabin) next time you are there, best food on the mountain and one can also have a nice little apres-ski there. Aspen Snowmass has the amongst the best ski in-ski out accommodations anywhere in the US or Canada. Also, the best dining, shopping, art scene and the scenery might be number two or three, just behind Jackson Hole and Banff Lake Louise. Plus we love that you don't need a car there, just get picked up from the hotel or condo and they provide round trip airport transfers. The township provides an excellent free bus service to all 4 mountains and then around Snowmass and Aspen. I have taken it from Snowmass to Highlands and to Ajax, on many different occasions. Is it expensive?, sure it is. But not much more than other resorts and you get a lot more for your money in Aspen. I have spent more money in Lake Tahoe on accommodations with much worse customer service and attitudes from the staff. It is top of the heap for a reason, also they create a wonderful atmosphere on the mountain and in the village and town. Like your videos a lot, they are very informative and don't ramble on with nonsense, unlike many other channels. Keep them coming.
I'd love to see your spreadsheet and thanks! I suggest Banff to a lot of people who love Utah and Colorado. Last year was my first time skiing in Colorado, and I fell in love with the sun and altitude. So far, Copper is my highest rated. I personally am partial to Sun Valley. Thanks again!
Snowmass is my entire life. Since the 1980s my relatives have been going there year in and year out around 2005 or 2006 i went along for the first time and never looked back
I grew up downvalley. I moved out of state and tried other resorts but I was not impressed. Lol. Snowmass has so much to offer and I miss being able to go up on a whim.
I love these reviews so much, the quality and producing are top, do wish there was an epic pass equivalent.
