- Two year review of the SALOMON QUEST 4D GTX FORCES 2 EN. There's really not too much to say other than I like the boots and I don't see any reason why anyone would have a problem with them.

EN at the end stands for European Norm, so you have a pair with a black sole for which Salomon declares additional feautures (anti-grip, anti-slip, hardened parts) certified by few ISO standards.
Love mine ! Great boot ! Awesome ankle support ! En means puncture proof sole ! And the reason they don't use open top lace hooks is for parachuters so the laces don't come outa hooks and get snagged on anything ! The extra protection on inside of boot is for fast roping !
The EN is the protection rating of the outsole, I believe it is rated to certain levels of oil resistance, slip resistance, puncture resistance, and static electricity resistance
I think the grip is a compromise. I do have some Brazilian tactical boots made of cordura and the grip is amazing, soft and stable, even in salty / weat rock at the shore. I have never, ever slipped on a wet floor (never tested it on black ice). But the downside is that if you use it everyday, the sole wear out in six months. But the grip got me hooked. I'm in my fourth pair in almost 4 years. It makes no noise as well, even in marble an such, wich comes in handy for tactical use.

@@xAZAZELx13 A retailer says that he can get 200$ a pair for me, started to doubt if that’s genuine or not
They cost around 260 USD
