@@suisusenidsub6000 i think on level 1 you might not feel the presence of the upgrade. Level 2 upgrades is where you can feel the upgrade. (Well in my case)
If u don't mind i wanna ask again. Why does everytime there's a herd incoming or so many enemies in general my game slows down? It doesn't seem to be fps stuttering, it's just like from 1x speed gameplay to 0.5x or slower. Is it just due to my potato device?

Its not far difference, code still the same and all. The only difference is they learn some game engine and good game design. Which technically speaking you can learn it by your own by trial and error
Most indie developers learn by themselves by just fiddling with whatever available programs (rpg maker, unity, renpy, etc.) Maybe you should give a go too!

They can absolutely accept money for it! I believe they set up a KoFi or Patreon or something somewhere, I saw it on the subreddit's announcement thread. The new community guidelines say you can't pay-wall something, but you can absolutely get paid for your work if people CHOOSE to do so!

It's a replenishing HP shield, it's great for everyone and it is damn near vital on certain characters like Kronii, who has a skill that boosts her when she's full hp.
It's just the enemies that are mostly EN based, I haven't played vampire survivors and didn't know how many enemies the game can have but I wonder if it still can be balanced out with JP and ID based enemies and can add more enemies. I want Udins, Nousagis, Nene Husbands and more 😆 Unless they are there and im just not reaching that point 🤔

If HoloJP and HoloID characters haven't been implemented, I doubt their enemies have. A future update most likely.
Seeing that it's HoloGamers that's been teased for future updates, the introduction of HoloJP mobs seem logical.
