Good to see the Frontiers getting some attention. They're great trucks, but very underrated. Most people wouldn't think "Nissan Frontier" when they're thinking of a truck to go off road.
I like how you included the xterra. Watching it drive after the frontiers looked like when your little brother wants to tag along with your group of friends. I only wish there were some pathfinders too so I could see how they handle the trails. I've got a 4x4 SE and wanted to see how it held up, still a very useful video nonetheless.

I own a pro4x and a boddy on mine has a TRD pro. The trd pro does have better suspension, but my truck is the same or better in just about every other way. but he paid over 10k more than me... For less than $2k I got a nisstek suspension kit and now my suspension is BETTER than his, and I'm still 8k cheaper. Also, mine is a 6 speed man. While his is auto
Those are some easy trails! The 2wd should clear them, just add some speed and pick your line! I own a 2wd 4 cyl 2001 xterra that has gone through worse! I also own a 2020 pro4x that does that and harder on a daily basis...

Someone who's a competent driver and who's skill easily makes up for not having a 4x4 vehicle. That I've seen, most trails that many overland rigs go on are definitely doable in 2wd.
i dont understand why the desert runner comes in 4x2. seems like its nothing more than a sticker on the side of the truck because the off road ability is not equal to a frontier sv 4x4

Desert Runners are just a gimmick made up by Nissan. They're not 4x4 drivetrain.
4x4 looks, 2 wheel drive. Like Toyota pre runners used to be.

Based off seating position/cabin space alone, I'd choose the frontier. Taco's are overrated

2 wds go up the easy side, the pro4xs go up the difficult side.
