These is gonna be a stretch, and maybe pretentious sounding, but there was an Irish short comedy film from almost 20 years ago called "Pitch 'n' Putt with Beckett 'n' Joyce" (you can find it here on YT) and Arin's tendency to try to sound things out with weird, stream of conscious results versus Danny's taciturn tendency when trying to solve the problem is eerily similar (to me) to that short film, and Arin's "Gotten awfully quiet" is what finally made me put my finger on it.
