Blame it on Warren Littlefield for the changes in time slots When it debut, it was on Saturday Night 8:30/7:30 Central Time Slot after Here & Now, but when NBC cancelled Here & Now, NBC moved the show to Must See TV Thursday Night at 8/7 Central a time slot that was occupied by The Cosby Show for 8 seasons and NBC moved A Different World The spin-off Cosby back to its normal time slot of 8:30/7:30 Central Time Slot and both shows were up against Top Cops (CBS' answer to COPS) and Out All Night was up against The Simpsons and A Different World was up against Martin (even Jasmine Guy stated that she didn't like the idea of having 2 sitcoms with all black casts to go head to head) But the final nail in the coffin was moving the show to Friday Night 8/7 Central Time Slot and not only was it up against The Golden Palace (The continuation of The Golden Girls) but it was also up against a sitcom with an all black cast in the popular abc TGIF Sitcom Family Matters Patti LaBelle was no match for The Original Harriette Winslow, Charrise was no match for Laura Winslow, Jeff & Vidal was no match for Eddie & Waldo and Out All Night was certainly no match for Carl Winslow and Steve Urkel
Well folks, Jeff & Vidal learned a good lesson here, swearing up and taking oaths can mess up a friendship The moral of the story is this: No matter what the situation is, try talking things out like adults and stop shutting people out That's what best friends do
I don’t dislike Angus. But there’s nothing to suggest through interests or personality these guys would be close friends with him just because he’s a neighbor in LA. He definitely should’ve been written differently to fit into their social circle.
Agreed. In this show he is just the token white guy. It would have been better to make him work at the club so it would make more sense for him to always be around. Instead they made him another moocher like Vidal, and it's just not believable that a guy like Jeff is gonna be cool with a white stranger mooching off him. At least Vidal has been his boy since childhood. This show had potential but there was a coupe of things in it that needed to be fixed.
Well... I don't like Angus; his character makes no sense and isn't needed. The Black bartender would've been a better fit to be friends with Jeff and Vidal. Black sitcoms in the 90s always needed the token yt person.
@@strongblkwoman3930 Not always. Fresh Prince, Hangin with Mr. Cooper, Roc, Parent Hood, Living Single, In the House, Sister Sister & Moesha all had an all black cast.

Good show. Thanks for uploading! Jeff should've known to take Charisse to an unknown/unfamiliar location for their date. Side-note: Patti confirmed that Luther was gay...for all of the delusional people who need someone to admit what's obvious before they believe it. Even though Luther was anointed to turn many an evening romantic, Luther's voice NEVER did/does it for me.
I used to love this show, Patti, Vivica and Morris on the same Show. Although I enjoy the memories, I can’t help but remember I also hated this because of Duane Martin’s dumb, non Acting, stupid pick up lines and sorry ass character. If he wasn’t on the show I maybe able to sit through these episodes. He is an unnecessary piece that we could do without, him and Angus are pretty useless here.

R.I.P. To the LEGEND Luther Vandross 🕊🕊🕊
its a shame they only made one season of this show. it was really good they shouldve continued it

Yeah that’s true it too bad but at least I can watch all 32 episodes of it
It’s funny that Dewayne said, “Two can play that game.” Then Vivica and Morris ended up being in the movie together.
Corny, narration heavy project that I only remember because I worked for the label that did the soundtrack.
*Duane/Vidal. Yep, the show is prophetic.
Vivica & Duane also worked together in the short-lived Fox Comedy Series Getting Personal with Jon Cryer and Elliott Gould
Yeah 20 years later
Thanks for the upload.
That handshake we used to do as kids 😂😂😂
"I did get the glass with Batman on it". 😄 This show was miles funnier than most of the sitcoms that the WB and UPN spewed out years later.
Rest in peace😢😢 Luther could sing

lol yup! Facts! And notice how all those shows were decent and enjoyable because they weren’t trying to force token characters that didn’t fit.
Which way is the telephone? Wow!
This show sounds like the same writers for the Fresh Prince of Bel Air
It actually was the same creator!

Alright I’ll go out with Jeff, but not as a man.

the shows were shorter but still good vs now they are 30 to 60 and predictable.
