Haha I had to figure out this issue for myself with the IP address missing.. If I just watched 20seconds more and finished part 2 I would've watched you resolve it. instead I spent 3 whole hours going back and forth, sighhh
Also, thanks Kev this insight puts me miles ahead of the competition for 1st line support role, appreciate your explanation for EVERYTHING!

I know you said you wanted to stay away from click bait stuff but I think you can allow yourself some room to employ tactics that draw more viewers. The title of this video was a good start. Its just the way the TH-cam game works these days!

Oh gosh, I finally got this to work after making in VMs in different regions in Part 1. I deleted and remade the VMs in the same regions and still it didn't work.
Turns out you have to delete everything (All Resources in Azure) and completely over again. Finally got my VM connected to the domain.

Did you recreate Server2019 as well, because I thought everything was in the RESOURCE GROUP: HomeLab? Nevermind, I see where you can change it on the dashboard. I am not getting the option, if I use the same region, to change the ram size of the new VM. I believe the original server2019 was in US-EAST now you have your server2019 in US-EAST2. I don't think I have as many available VMs in US EAST., and you're now using US-EAST2 . I will rebuild everything again and work from there after watching this video in its entirety, because maybe you address some of the issues, and I have been trying to make the changes on the fly

needs to be on the same network and make sure they can talk to each other.

@@KevtechITSupport Yep. I’m going to start all over and put them in the same region. I’ll finish watching this video to see what changes you’ve made, and then make those changes. Thanks for your efforts. By the way, mistakes are the best way to learn. You didn’t mean to cover subnets, but by having the VMs unable to communicate, it highlighted something that could help the newbies. I didn’t even pay attention myself. I was just following along.

Attention to detail is important. Everyone makes mistakes. Totally normal.

You can also check to see if they’re in the same vnet through networkwatcher, right?

You can but I'm trying to make it easy to understand for someone new. Some new folks wouldn't know what that is.
