You’d find that this song is normal Basso profundo range, that being Eb2-C4. The original ending doesn’t have a Bb1, that was just Glenn Miller being Glenn Miller. The reason why it seems high is because our generation is full of A Cappella basses who are normally amplified in a studio setting, allowing them to use notes they wouldn’t be able to use in an un amplified setting.
