    Guys, this isn't a tip on how to FISH a jig, he is explaining the difference between jig vs plastics, which he did very well. And the video is being uploaded by Strike King and the host is Greg, who designed the jig (which is a great jig btw) so of course they are going to endorse it.

    I would like to hear more about the weights that the pros use when they are doing these demos... I am always afraid that if i go to heavy fish wil spit the lure out??? So what would be a good range for a beginner like say 3/8ths to 5/8ths???

    @sphillips93 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @Huntermiddle7 He's using a Quantum Energy PT, Probably 6.3:1 or 7.1:1.

    @bhorn0002 best all around would probably be a 7'6" heavy rod.

    doesnt pink braid scare some fish

    • @robertcox9226
      @robertcox9226 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I fish heavy braid a lot. I catch a bunch of big fish over 8 lbs. I use braid on everything . I use a leader on my finesse spinning. I'm in open water or clear lakes. But in heavy cover the line blends with the weeds and branches ... can't see where the weeds stop and the line begins.

    I need a hook that makes up for human error.....

  • @gankin33noobz
    @gankin33noobz 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Why would u need a tuna hook in a jig !! Lmao !!

    • @JamesSchuttFishing
      @JamesSchuttFishing 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The last thing you want is a weak hook, I'd rather have the heaviest rather than a shit one. Never know what situations you'll be in or fishing.
