Wow he is so great. His success makes us who are disabled think nothing is impossible as long as we wish. May this video inspire those with disabilities ... Bravo!
Make sure you have a backup, chairs get stress fractures from using them over the years If you use it a lot, Not to mention the axles could break with no support spring structure to limit the rigidness of impact. Plus I would put some type of braces on my leg the kind lineman use to make sure you don't dislocate your legs from your knees because of atrophy there's no muscle.
That’s exactly what I’ve been saying I want to do for my 50th birthday. They told me it can’t be done because the risk of the ropes getting tangled.!! Anyway congratulations to you sir !!
No I never have but I guess I’ll have to do the tandem dive instead. Just want to do something momentous for my big 50 th. You only turn 50 once, well unless of course you live to be 100 !! Lol
Any reason this video has only 2k views? I hope by the time more people will read this message, it will have 20mln views, to say: what this dude is talkin' about?
This is epic. Thanks for the footage. I am a wheelchair user and this gives me a lot of confidence maybe I can somehow train and land on my own. I am curious if this was your first ever dive or you're experienced from before?
Hi I don’t know anyone who has done this but I would love tto try it myself I have completed two Tandem skydives prior to my Stroke which left me with Left side weakness but I am getting desperate to do more of the things that I liked to do in the past and to set a good example to my three young children Please could you let me have any contact details of people who might be able to help me fulfil this dream of mine thanks xxx James I live ib Worthing UK THank you very much keep up the good work and great Play too regards James previous
Hi James, I live in Canada, so not very familiar with the situation in UK, but I can assure you if you search and contact most of the biggest drop zones in Europe, at least one of them will have an adaptive skydiving program. Not necessarily jumping with a wheelchair, but they have it figured out with braces and such to keep your legs steady in freefall. You could also inquire at the wind tunnels like ifly and such. they will be even more willing to help you get in the air.
@@irusev many thanks I will investigate as you suggest everything vid so much harder and takes so much longer with just my left side but i am getting there slowly but surely regardsand thanks again
Vaibhav, the guy on this video is a BASE jumper and a skydiver. He had many jumps before becoming a paraplegic. Jumping WITH a wheelchair strapped on is more of a stunt than an actual skydiving progression. That said, some dropzones would go out of their ways to accommodate paraplegic jumpers. they jump with prices to keep their legs constrain. but it is totally possible and also possible in the wind tunnel! Depending on where you are located you can find the right place. If you are in Canada I can help too. If you search "paraplegic skydiver" on youtube you will see many more inspiring skydivers! You should definitely not let this stop you from experience the purest form of human flight! totally possible! :D
@@irusev I am totally in! I wish to pursue it as a career.. sky is where I belong! If i have to learn and do it solo, and keep doing it, which school, country should i fly in? Can you please share your communication details on email? vadile@outlook.com
@@vadile4u I would say U.S., Most European countries, -France, Spain, Italy, New Zealand, Australia, Dubai, Brazil there are drop zones in most countries. I am sure there are some wherever you live!. Just google the closest DZ to you and start talking to them. Skydivers are very welcoming to newcomers!
Amazing. But so many dangerous things happening here. 1, why wasn’t he in a helmet? He could have hit his head on exit or the chair could have flung forward and hit his head. 2, that plane was too close for comfort. 3, that camera guy was getting way to close under canopy. This is an incredible achievement, but all the more reason to be taking extra precaution.
Thanks:) All the thinngs you mentioned here were actually planned meticulously. The plan was for the camera man to fly close and film but have vertical separation on opening. Everyone was aware of everyone. The wheelchair was connected to him with a cutaway system and its own parachute in case he needed to bail. It felt pretty good when all the planned details came together nicely
This is not a video, it is a Masterpiece, a live changing view of life. Thanks for celebrating life.
That's so fucking cool, the wheelchair looks like part of a stunt setup for the jump like he's a mini heli pilot about to land
When I think of humanity helping out one another. Just enjoying life. This is as close to it gets. Right on pal!
it was such an awesome day!

Are you a skydiver? if not many dropzones can get you a tandem (without the chair) still a real skydive though.

cool
wtf that airplane was close!
It was! Luckily the pilot and the jumpers were all aware of each other and the landing plan:D
look at him go! and i fell out of my chair popping down a curb haha :D
Well his chair was tied to his but, so going nowhere lol. Although it did have a cutaway system with a small parachute just in case ;)
@@irusev yea i asked a belt with my new char.. might have to try it indoors somewhere first :D
@@The_crippled_gamer there are adaptive programs some dropzones do for paraplegic people. But you don't jump with the chair
Good thing his pilot chute didn't find its way into the wheels.
...or the legs of any of the other jumpers ;D
Yo hoo go get um ye has

Was he an up jumper?
He is a base jumper and a skydiver yeah. Google him.
I know how he can move around while in the air, all he has to do is roll his way through the air.
