Who's ready for a totally new season and experience for SPT here on the Gamer Visuals channel? I decided to create a character and backstory this time around to make it a bit more immersive.
Character: Jack Mercer, a USEC operator, is stoic, pragmatic, and loyal, shaped by military service and the harsh realities of Tarkov.

Rules for SP Tarkov S3:
-when jack is “incapacitated” he is dragged to a random area of the map by friendly scavs and left with the gear that the scav provides him.
-scav runs will be used to rescue jack and get him back in the fight.
-Jack will then use the scav kit to get back to the hideout.
-Jack will pay the scavs 50,000 roubles for their help.

About the scav shooting at you, they added traitor scavs this patch in SPT. You can kill them safely and you get rep for it as well!

ok, hear me out. in tarkov in the hideout you eventually unlock scav box. where you strike a deal with a few scavs to go out looting for you for payment. treat scav runs like early scav box days. so instead of paying them to go out for you, the deal right now is they lend you that disguise and gear to go on a run. anything you bring back from your initial scav kit you delete like you returned it. everything else you looted is kept, used, or sold. any money you make from selling or finding money in raid you split at a percent. like 60/40 or 50/50 and delete a stack equaling payment for borrowing the kit.
This is exactly what I was thinking. makes a lot of sense

Been loving the content man glad to see your back. I think an interesting idea is a scav run costs 50-100k or pick a number in general and you have to acquire at least that much money before you can take any the money or gear for Jack. so like say you choose 50k until you sell a vender 50k worth of scav gear you don't get any the items. once you get past 50 you get to pick and choose.

I’ve been having bosses spawn like crazy as well. Make sure you check the SMV profile. Check the boss spawn chance.

Felt like the goons were spawning a lot for me! They even chased me over to the front side of the dorms right next to ice cream shack! Killed two as it was getting dark. It was better after I turned their spawn rate down
How do you turn down those rates?
Remember that when you go in with just a pistol you are marked and tagged so expect extra combat.

@gamervisuals i resolved the boss spawn by changing the SWAG boossconfig file and lower the spawn chance from the goons to 15% and reschala to 20%, now they spawn more like live like, seems at the standard rate of the config, 35% they spawn everytime, now they spawn less.... you find the config in the SPT folder: \user\mods\SWAG\config\bossConfig.json

I had bosses and goon-types spawning and hunting me So often I reverted to turning off the a boss button on settings. Maybe you can come up with a system for doing that. When they kill you, next raid you flip it off.
nope! found a way to turn their spawn chance down and its been working great!

I think scav should keep weapons and rig but all the other things you sell and that’s the amount of money you can use for your next kit. No one would want to give up their only protection but they would be willing to give loot.

Have you been getting lag spikes and freezes on spt lately? My game was fine at first, then I added questing bots and it started getting worse

You know I play on a laptop and I don't have any FPS issues. I think it's it. Runs about 50 to 60 FPS except on the streets of tarkov.
Hey GV, do you find that the ai PMC's always kind of meet in the same areas and fight on the maps?
they seem to unless you have other mods that make them go elsewhere. questing bots is a great one that makes them go to questing areas
They not only going there, they also do Quest, place items, open locked doors, loot etc. There also a mod who make scav move all possibles paths, I got often jumpscared by scavs where I didn't expect them else from anything else. Spt. & the mods saved the game tbh. Great content, like always bud.
@Gamer Visuals - Goons have their own spawn chance at the bottom of SVM. It is set to 30% for 4 maps by default.
Also, I think that it either SAIN or SWAG that can make Player Scavs spawns have a % chance of attacking other scavs? Not 100% sure though.

what is the mod that you are using to light up loose items that are on the floor in the dark? & what is the mod you are using to bring up the extracts like that?
Don’t think you can make the goons friendly but you can turn the spawn rate down from what I believe is a default of 30%. I looked it up and turned the spawn rate down to 15% for the goons!

suggestion: Jack gets to keep only the gear and scav keeps all the money and luxury items. That way the friendly scav shows some goodwill but isn't doing Jack's work for him

What mod setting changes the spawn rate for bosses?
In SVM (server value modifier) there’s spawn rates for all the bosses including the goons. You can turn them up or down as you see fit
iirc your scav xp determines whether reshala and his boys have you as kos. But i think they will fire at you anyways if u hang around them too much.
If you're not using insurance, you should keep quest items, then use the scavs sell all function after the raid and just keep it, it's already penalized because it's just selling to fence so it's not Min Maxed.
The hud is a much better extraction helper best quality of life mod

does anyone think the Goons on SPT act differently? I feel like I am killing them easier than online, not sure if its because I am getting use to it or if its to do with donuts etc.?
i think you should pay for the scav run before raid like 20k them keep 80% to 70% of what you find but you cant keep the kit they spawn with but have the option to buy it off them
I will make just one request/hope for this season: At some point, I would love to see you rock a PPSH-41. I really do want to see how it performs compared to the other SMG's, but I don't think I've ever seen anyone try it out.

if you get "incapacitated" Jack becomes a SCAV ....dont do the Money thing , if u whant to play it "harder" , loose the Scavs weapon .

bosses are not friendly to you and will shoot on sight if you dont have hight enough fence rep but if you kill them it is the same as if you killed a friendly scav.
That's mostly correct, but Goons are considered Rogues, not scavs, so you are not penalized for killing them
I don't even play with your settings for extra AI and there's just a stupid amount of ai on customs compared to other maps
Here's an idea, make the rules before you start and stick to them? Changing up what you are doing halfway through is not great

well being that it's my series...I can pretty much do whatever I want man, lol. I'm trying to find the best balance of challenge and fun and tweaking it as I go is helping me figure it out
