@@CorelUser But.. he just showed how it doesn't detect motion through glass, so I think my comment holds true.. in theory.. if there was such thing as a glass suit. Haha
@@giacattack7162 nope they dont see the glass box if theres nothing behind it being hotter (thus sending brighter infrared light with a higher frequenzy than the box). So if there isnt something way hotter or way cooler (+/-10°C or so) in the background, it won't detect any movement. So you only have to keep the glass box at the temperature of the environment and it wont turn on.
@@neutronenstern. I don't know if PIRs need a especially high temperature difference or high temperature to activate. But as I've spend an ok deal of time with a FLIR camera, I can say that it's going to be a challenge to keep a big and uniform object like that camouflaged to the background for a FLIR camera. Different object of different material type in a scene usually have different tones on the camera. But what do I know. PIR may not activate simply on differences like that.

@@helo6824 one more thing, are you genuinely asking or are you being a smarty? Also, you, yourself did not capitalize the word Moon. Perhaps you are talking about another moon other than Earth’s?
@@helo6824 well... to help clarify things, the phrase “many Moons ago” is a way of saying a long time ago. To refer to a period of time as a Moon, is referring to one full Moon cycle, which is about 28 days long. I did fail to capitalize the word Moon, as I was referencing the Earth’s Moon. So you did get me there. Good luck and Godspeed!
Wait. How does the glass let pass only visible light frequencies? I mean, I thought if lower frequencies are blocked, but visible lights passes through, so higher frequencies would pass too.

Yes
